I always thought a guy would use that phrase to describe a woman who was attractive to him and was a mother old enough to have kids his age. I've heard it a few times lately from guys not referring to older women, but just describing attractive mothers in general. Which is it?

M.I.L.F. = Mom I like to f**k Right, I just always thought when a guy said that he meant a mom old enough to be his own mom.

I've mainly heard it used in the first sense.

Maybe that used to be how it was originally, but nowadays it must have changed, since we have idiot Juno's and 60+ yr olds having kids now so the age range of a mother is so much bigger now that MILF has kind of lost it's meaning somewhat.

More specifically sexy.

The phrase almost certainly originally had a connotation of a woman who was in an older age range but has been diluted by use, as typically happens.

Around here, it is short for "Milford township, Pennsylvania"

Thought "cougar" was a different connotation again. A woman (with or without children) who prefers/pursues noticeably younger men.

I've always been under the impression that it was more your second interpretation than your first one.
However, I suppose either could be equally valid.

I used to think that too but apparantly the term is now being used by some guys to describe actresses, models and porn stars who are only in their late 20s 'cause we are only in our prime when we are 16-25 then we are MILFs and after we hit 30 we are washed up and only Beta males want us. .
