I've already bought seed packets to get a few things started, like herbs for my kitchen, and a jasmine plant to bloom in my bedroom with that glorious scent.
I've done some outdoor prep work on fences and cleaning up flower beds, pruning any dead branches and other stuff, but it's still so damn chilly and dark here in Missouri (Misery). I need daffodils, I need hyacinths, I need crocuses!

I do prefer cold over the blazing hot, humid summers here, and the cold does present ample opportunity to be all snuggled up with my kitties, but I do love spring, and then autumn, for the cooler temps and colorful foliage. I suffer through summer. But I need flowers!!!

As much as I enjoy wearing turtlenecks, coats, and other cold-weather clothing, I prefer having more daylight.

It’s only January, you have a long way to go. If I started yearning for spring this early I’d be irritated everyday until it warmed up.

Not really. I'm still waiting for summer to properly kick in.
Around here, 113 degrees Fahrenheit or more is becoming relatively common during summer.
Although I prefer cooler weather.

I am. I hate snow, ice, and cold weather in general. I wish we could skip to spring as soon as Christmas ends.

You warm weather people are soft. You start pining for spring and summer when it hasn't even been that cold yet.
I love spring, but this hasn't been a bad winter at all and I absolutely hate summer, so no rush here.

I hate the cold. I was born and raised in South Florida. I'm not used to temps going from 80°F during the day and shooting all the way down to 50°F at night. My allergies go nuts because of it.
Bring on summer.

I'm an outdoor person and I like to fish, boat, go camping, ride my bikes and swim. I like to sit outside in the morning and have my coffee and sit outside in the evening and drink some beers. Not much fun doing any of those things when its 20 degrees outside. THIS: OR THIS: Another good thing about spring is what follows it. Summer!

If I moved to southern Florida and never saw snow again I would not miss it one bit.

If I moved to southern Florida and never saw snow again I would not miss it one bit. I've never seen snow - except in a film or a TV series.

It’s only January, you have a long way to go. If I started yearning for spring this early I’d be irritated everyday until it warmed up. I do this every year, and I am irritated everyday until it warms up! If I would just win a lottery, I'd build a greenhouse and have fresh veggies and flowers all through the winter. It's a good thing dreams are free.
