Rank the Avengers team members from most important member to least important member. Which team members are more expendable than the others? Which members are integral to the team?
Here are the current list of team members in no particular order:
Ironman Hulk Thor Captain America Black Widow Hawkeye Warmachine Falcon Wanda Vision Spiderman

I would argue that Cap is the most important after Tony. He is the defacto leader of the team.

Ironman is really the only important member the rest are just placeholders "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the Earth. So, he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net. We have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So, there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go." - Vision

•Cap (makes it a team, keeps people together, leads) •Tony (despite being the worst, and more solo, too important tech wise) •Thor (the most stable Power player) •Widow (spy, team player, dependable) •Hulk (either at top for power, or bottom for setting team back) •Vision (ultra powerful and wise, but too absent from the human needs) •Wanda (ultra powerful, but not as stable or dependable) •Spidey (powerful, smart, but not as experienced and needs to take care of himself and his home) •Rhodes (has iron man tech, there to give aid, but seems to be needed elsewhere much of the time) •Clint (great team backup, clutch with the hideaway, but role has been too reduced) •Falcon (solid team player and backup, not always as useful as big guns)

There's no I in team, but there is a Hawkeye.
Seriously, though. We need at least six Hawkeye movies for this franchise to truly be a success. Get on it, Feige.

1. Captain America - is the glue that keeps the team together and focuses team on goals. Has proven in CW and IW that he can still successfully lead a team despite having only minimal team members. Also the best tactical thinker on the team and is the team's moral compass.
2. Tony Stark - his resources and intel is what allows the Avengers to function at their peak. Without him the Avengers will be bogged down with such mundane things as needing to fly commercial, getting stuck in traffic, having to pay rent, not knowing where villains are striking, etc. He's also the smartest man on the team.
3. Thor - currently the most powerful member of the team. Majority of the Avengers' fights would not have been winnable without the muscle that Thor brings. The team could probably send Thor to take out entire armies by himself. He's also their most knowledgeable member when it comes to cosmic intel and currently has the ability to teleport.
4. Black Widow - the only spy in the team. Hawkeye apparently is also a spy but we've never seen him actually apply it. When it comes to subterfuge or espionage, Black Widow is the team's best hope. She's also a pretty decent hacker.
5. Wanda - currently the only telekinetic and pseudo-telepath on the team. Is able to create shields to protect numerous team members, able to lift them in the air, take out poison gas, contain bombs, etc. Has the potential to be one of the most powerful members. Just needs a bit more training and experience.
6. Vision - probably the 2nd most currently powerful member after Thor, he's also the most logical among the team. His phasing ability is unique to himself and can definitely be useful for the team. Add to that his strength, durability, mind gem and ability to utilize Mjolnir and he's definitely one person you want on your team. 7. Spiderman - something that he demonstrated in CW and IW is that he's very good at assisting other teammates. Whether he's catching them and making sure they don't get hurt or webbing up opponents to make them easier for the others to take out. He may not be the team's mvp but he has pretty good assists. His strength, agility and intelligence are also nothing to scoff at.
8. Hulk - though physically the strongest member of the team, his brawn is pretty redundant with Thor and Vision already on the team. And unlike Thor and Vision, Hulk doesn't really bring anything else to the table other than brawn. Banner's intellect is useful though, but it seems his knowledge can be something the team can acquire by consulting other experts in the field (though with difficulty). Still, Hulk's brawn and Banner's intellect make him a decent contribution to the team.
9. Warmachine - pretty much 2nd-rate version of IM. Anything WM can do, IM can do better. But he's more powerful than the other 2 after him so he gets this spot.
10. Falcon - can fly but is not as fast a flier as IM (and probably Thor) and isn't as mobile a flier as Vision (who can levitate). Has some pretty good weaponry but nowhere near as lethal as IM or WM. In short, everything he can do, someone else can do better.
11. Hawekeye - he's not that great in a physical fight, pretty much anyone on this list can beat him in h2h except for Falcon which would be debatable. He's a great marksman but that's easily compensated for with targeting systems like IM, WM and Falcon use. His weapons are decent but honestly have the weakest destructive output among those with weapons other than Black Widow. But unlike Widow, he hasn't shown the ability for hacking, spycraft or seduction. In short, not only does he bring nothing unique to the team, but the stuff he does bring are subpar compared to what others already have.

Captain America. Captain, leader and part-time de facto leader. He's my number one. So if he dies, I think he'll die the way he lived, as the most important Avenger to the Avengers. If Captain America is alive, there is an Avengers to come back to.
Iron Man and Thor, the two with the most ego and baggage in the mix. They both took the battle personally, and thought it was theirs to lose. So in terms of importance, Iron Man has the smarts and the technology and Thor can take a star to the face. Iron Man is more important to the Avengers than Thor, and a team can be spun around Stark in Captain America's honor if he dies. Iron Man is the most important Avenger if Captain America is dead. Thor's responsibilities are too wide spanning with too few equals for an agenda of his capabilities.
So Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor.
Falcon, Black Widow, Hawkeye and War Machine are probably invisible to Thanos. Like ants who fight back. That's kind of what I thought Thanos was thinking when pressing Captain America. Is this ant fighting back? Okay, punch to the face. I've stepped on ants, I've never punched one before.
Hulk has some redeeming to do. He got manhandled off-world. What occurred in Infinity War between Hulk and Thanos was a neanderthal getting beat by Tyson. The signs were in his gladiator battle with Thor.
Vision lost more face in Infinity War than Hulk.
Spiderman is a great man waiting to happen.
Wanda is power without direction; she lacks Vision.
So with being alive or dust accounted for:
1. Captain America 2. Iron Man 3. Thor 4. Hulk 5. Black Widow 6-7. Borderline tie between alive Hawkeye and deceased Spiderman
8. War Machine
9. Wanda
10. Vision
11. Falcon
