Mickβs teams are fiesty D teams. Is that was UCLA wants? No, they want the days of Alcindor and Walton. Read too many articles that way that the alumni want UCLA to be THE CBB program. Nothing less than being a title threat year after year after year. Not feasible today. They can be a Kentucky, UNC or Duke but not a Wooden -esque dynasty. Ben Howland went to three Final Fours. Not good enough.

I don't know anything about Mick Cronin. I've read he did well at Cincy, what's important is who he can recruit and what type of athletes they are. We'll see.
Yeah, I can see Alford at Nevada, why not?

DrKrippen marquee... www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/ncaa/ucla-reportedly-offered-jay-wright-ridiculous-amount-he-turned-downThe Los Angeles Times published a story today about UCLAβs long and winding search for a new head coach. Before they eventually landed on Mick Cronin, they went after some big names in the coaching world, including John Calipari and Wright. While Calipari showed some real interest in the gig, it doesnβt seem like Wright gave it a second thought, not even after UCLA offered to double his salary, according to the LA Times. Read by the LA Times, hereβs part of what UCLAβs senior associate AD Josh Rebholz said in a text message to donors after the school failed to hire Calipari: We would have loved for Jay Wright to walk out on the floor, but even when we offered to double his salary, he still wasnβt coming. Nothing we can do about that. But I am proud of our effort. We didnβt assume anything, took our shots and I believe will end up with a solid coach who will embrace UCLA and build a program we all can be proud of and root for.

After convincing every white kid on campus to buy a pair of big baller sneakers Lavar would strip the campus of copper, take everything from the locker rooms and once safely in Qatar quit.
