Catman has seen them all. Did not like 'Five Characters in Search of an Exit' in the least.
Also, 'The Invaders' should be on that list.

The Invaders should be on the list.
I also like The Little People.

I think Iβve seen all of these too. Like Catman, I donβt like βFive Characters in Search of an Exitβ (I find it rather dull)βIβm also possibly the only TZ fan, other than my mother, who doesnβt like βItβs a Good Life,β which is relentlessly and needlessly misanthropic. My TZ ranking would probably leave off a large number of classics and replace them with some sentimental favorites, for better or worse: βA Stop at Willoughby,β βThe Monsters are Due on Maple Street,β βThe After Hoursβ (which I analyzed here), βWill the Real Martian Please Stand Up?,β βWalking Distance,β βLittle Girl Lost,β βNightmare at 20,000 Feet,β βThe Masks,β βNumber 12 Looks Just Like You,β and either βAnd When the Sky Was Openedβ or βI Shot an Arrow Into the Airβ would make my top 10, with many honorable mentions. But these are the ones that I think best find the line between TZβs social commentary and ingenious plotting, with twists that actually make sense in light of character and story but also donβt overwhelm the story (e.g., βTo Serve Manβ).

I wrote a small piece on The Twilight Zone for the marathon this New Yearβs, and if no one minds Iβll copy it here:

I've seen TZ only in reruns; my parents thought it was too scary for me as a kid.
Of the list, I can remember only three: 2. Nightmare at 20,000 Feet 3. Eye of the Beholder 4. Time Enough at Last
And Time Enough at Last made the most profound impression on me. I copied/pasted a review from IMDb -

I've seen the whole series, I'd have to have a think about what my favorite episodes are. Of the ones listed, the first five or so seem to be the most well known and are arguably "undisputed classics". I like them all, but think they've lost some of there impact, due to their sheer ubiquitous-ness, particularly "Time Enough at Last". Like Nalkarj I'm also not the biggest fan of "It's a Good Life", the kid was just too annoying. I don't mind "Five Characters in Search of an Exit" though. The two on the list I particularly remember liking are "A Stop at Willoughby" and "Walking Distance". The stranger in a strange town/place was always my favorite TZ trope. One lesser known/lesser revered episode I do specifically remember and like a lot is "Come Wander With Me", the last to be filmed and I think third last to air. It's a tad clunky but I really like the atmosphere and the haunting song adds a particular air of eerie "Americana" to the episode.

I've seen every episode of the series. I'd say all of those are good, if a bit too over-familiar to me by now, setting aside "The Silence" which I find a bit of a throw-away. "Twenty-Two" should have made this list, I think.

11. The Masks
12. A Stop at Willoughby 13. The Midnight Sun 14. Five Characters in Search of an Exit 15. The Silence

How many have you seen? Are there any you like a lot? I don't know the title. But my favorite episode was the one where the old man who loved to read was in the basement of a library when something destroys everything and kills everyone above ground. And he was left alone with all the books. He thought he had died and gone to heaven. He then gathers all his favorite books, sits on the steps of the library, looks down at his stack of books --- and his reading glasses fall off and break on the cement steps. Now he is left all alone with all the books in the world and no reading glasses to read with.

Not sure I've seen The Shelter, The Midnight Sun, Walking Distance, or And When the Sky Was Opened. Definitely have seen the rest.
To Serve Man is possibly my favorite episode, so cool that it's top rated. My other favorite is Maple Street.

I've seen a fair majority of them. The ones I haven't seen are "The Shelter", "A Stop at Willoughby", and "The Midnight Sun".
The ones I like a lot that are not on the list are "The Hitch-Hiker", "The Invaders", "A World of Difference", "Night Call", and ""Stopover in a Quiet Town".

"Five Characters in Search of an Exit" is a dumb title. They should've called it "In Search of an Exit."
It's a little on-the-nose.

How many have you seen? Are there any you like a lot? Iβve watched the entire original TV series through from start to finish at least twice and certain favourite episodes more often than that. I certainly think there are some very good episodes listed in this top 20, such as EYE OF THE BEHOLDER, THE OBSOLETE MAN and TO SERVE MAN, which is almost as good as the original short story by Damon Knight. However, I donβt necessarily agree with all of the picks. In no particular order, here are my top 20 picks. THE GIFT THE PASSERSBY THE HUNT THE LAST FLIGHT ONE FOR THE ANGELS THE TRADE-INS THIRD FROM THE SUN THE INVADERS THE LITTLE PEOPLE THE MIDNIGHT SUN EYE OF THE BEHOLDER THE OBSOLETE MAN TO SERVE MAN TIME ENOUGH AT LAST THE SHELTER THE ODYSSEY OF FLIGHT 33 TWENTY TWO DEATH SHIP THE HITCH-HIKER THE RIP VAN WINKLE CAPER
