My #1 favorite is King Oscar's mackerel fillets in olive oil. Absolutely delicious. 👌 If you haven't had them you need to try them. They are amazing.
I also enjoy John West salmon in olive oil blend (olive + sunflower)
I also recently tried Kippers/Herring for the first time. Brunswick brand Original Kippers herring fillets. Pretty dang good! Kind of similar to mackerel but a bit different and not quite as good. They included the skin in there though, which I was not a fan of. It's quite easy to remove most of it though, but it's a hassle.
I used to enjoy tuna but no longer. Way too dry. When canned salmon exists, I see no reason to go back to tuna. There's also the whole mercury thing with tuna, if you believe in that stuff.

Back when I was in grade school, my mother would make salmon sandwiches for my brother and I for lunch on Thursday and/or Friday.
I think when I got to high school, I thought....HOW did I eat this? The smell was just so bad.
Then again, for the past couple of Saturdays, I have made myself fish and chips - the fish being salmon. Smells SO good!

I don't eat canned fish. I am a vegetarian and I eat some seafood every now and then like prawns, seafood sticks, calamari rings and fish but I could never stand the smell of fish in a can and couldn't bring myself to eat it.

I used to love tuna, but since I’m a really lucky guy I’ve developed an allergy to it.

I used to eat sardines in mustard sauce with saltine crackers but seafood in general just really doesn't appeal to me anymore. I think I'm slowly becoming a vegetarian outside of bacon. I can't seem to shake that craving.

So you're a fishetarian. What smell? If you experienced smelly canned fish then it must have either gone off or not been filleted/included the skin, bones and organs etc, or it was canned in water as opposed to oil. Fish canned in oil shouldn't smell bad. You shouldn't let a bad experience stop you from eating good food. Try King Oscar's mackerel. I can't stress enough how good it is.

In no certain order: King Oscar Brisling sardines packed in xtra virgin olive oil I used to eat sardines as a small child. Probably that brand too. I couldn't bring myself to eat them now though, what with the heads and tails intact. Bones and organs too I'm guessing? No thanks. I'm sure I'd probably like them if they were filleted, headless and tailless though. I just need to find a brand that do that so I can try them. I do wonder why they pack their sardines in extra virgin olive oil though, but regular olive oil for their mackerel. If they packed their mackerel with extra virgin olive oil that would make them pretty much perfection!

No. I haven't had chocolate since I got my wisdom tooth removed last year and have only just started eating bread again but I miss it and it sucked not being able to have a lot of the Christmas chocolates but seriously, I wouldn't say I am a fishetarian, if that is even a word and I mostly eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and occasionally have seafoods like the ones I mentioned above. I love prawns the most and I have cold prawns, garlic prawns with garlic sauce, prawn cutlets, prawn fritters, prawn bars, king prawn omelettes, prawn cocktails and honey prawns and we used to have prawn burgers here which I liked but they stopped selling them.

hey Caesar! where the hell do you live? King Oscar's Brisling sardines in xtra virgin olive oil are fileted, contain no head, bones or entrails and are simply delicious!!! I have had the mackerel, and it does not compare flavor wise. Incidentally, I love seafood as you can see by my posts here.

Tuna, sardines, anchovies... Why no salmon, mackerel and herring? Do you eat full or boneless & skinless sardines? Been thinking of trying anchovies. Don't recall ever having them. Are they similar to sardines?

I just tried sardines again for the first time since I was a child.
Went with boneless & skinless in olive oil (Brunswick brand)
And they were really damn good! Very tasty! Bigger and meatier than I expected them to be. Not quite as nice as mackerel, but probably better than herring I'd say. Maybe better than salmon too.
Would recommend.
