I am a kind of person who sympathizes with most theists to a great extent. But sorry, I can't sympathize with the cult of hare Krishna/Isckon. They annoy the hell out of me. They are frauds and while most of their followers are not frauds, they are idiots or brainwashed nonetheless. Thankfully, here in India they are not as active or as relevant as they are in some of the English speaking countries.

Since moving to Alabama I haven't seen any Hare Krishna, but when I lived in Florida I saw them a few times. They didn't bother me.

I find that, when it comes to religious sects, they usually do teach the polar opposite of what the religion (from which it splintered off of) teaches.

Or is that not the point? I am a non-religious person. But I can tell the difference between Christianity and Islam. In the same way I can tell that the core teachings of Hare Krishna is pretty different from the core teachings of Hinduism. In all forms of Hinduism, Krishna is an incarnation of God Vishnu. Hare Krishna morons teach that Vishnu is the incarnation of God Krishna

What bothers me about them is their pestering behaviour. Their propaganda against meat eating and other things they try to influence. Due you understand there is a province in India which is meat free/alcohol-free state. Do you understand that given a chance these freaks will get meat and alcohol banned?
