Here's a problem that happened a lot in this documentary series: First a text in front of a black screen would explain the next interviewee's name and connection to R. Kelly. Then we'd see the interviewee saying their name and connection to R. Kelly... while their name and connection to R. Kelly appeared as a text under them! Also, there were clips (old and new footage) that were repeated. I know they were callbacks on purpose, but A) some are even repeated in the same episode and B) what's the point of the "Previously on" and "Next on" segments? Also-also, the order of the "storylines" and the switches between one to the other became muddled in the last 2 episodes. But what infuriated me were the end credits of the 1st and 6th episodes! They were shown during an interview! These people were pouring out their soul and you distracted us with that?! How disrespectful to her and to the show's crew who deserves proper recognition!

I just saw PART II: THE RECKONING. The redundancy problems are worse this time around, because a good chunk of the runtime is showing news footage already covered in PART I, as well as showing original footage filmed for PART I. What really bothered me was how, in the 4th episode, people complained about stand-up comedians making jokes about this subject. I know it's personal for them, and if they looked very hurt, I would've let it slide. However, they all seemed very calmed when discussing it. They tried to approach it almost scientifically. I can't support that kind of attitude. I mean, it's not about making fun of the victims, but Kelly himself. In fact, it's better for him to be a laughing stock than a worshiped celebrity, which is partly the reason why he has gotten away with his crimes for so long.
