Both are overrated.
in fact, the only movie between both directors I score a 6-6.5/10 or above is Chazelle's La La Land (2016) (6-6.5/10 ; within my Top 233 movies).
but anyways... it's pretty much Hollywood kissing each others @$$es.
p.s. not all that long ago I would not have believed La La Land (2016) would be my favorite movie between both directors as I generally think musicals are crap as I sort of refer to them as that genre that's near universally disliked among us males and I did not see The Prestige (2006) dropping off for me like it did very recently on Jan 20th 2019 as it was a 8/10 but dropped back to a 5/10(Thumbs Down). but with that said... I still think a good example of what not to do in a movie is that general intro in La La Land where they are dancing around on the cars etc as it's pretty dull if not flat out boring, but thankfully, that's only around 5 minutes or so of the movie which is not enough to damage the overall movie. in fact, I have seen La La Land twice and I was a bit surprised it went up from a 6/10 to a 6-6.5/10 on a re-watch as I did not anticipate that happening.
I see his point but they still should have shown a brief scene of the American flag.
Given what I have read online with I think some people who might have somewhat known Neil Armstrong is that their main complaint about the movie is how they portray him as too stoic and I kind of got that impression to as I never read that article/comment til after I seen the movie.
p.s. for the record... I mildly like First Man (2018) (6/10). ill have to see how it is on a re-watch in the future though.

Yeah, because his opinion matters. Piss off, Nolan.

Nolan is always praising other directors and studios. Means very little, not like hes going to launch into a racist rant against Chazelle and say his movies blow is he.

"First off, f*ck your film and the script you claim British when I ride, come equipped with game You claim to be a director but I f*cked your wife I bust on First Man n****s f*cked for life Plus Spielberg trying to see me weak hearts I rip Damien Chazzelle and Josh Singer, some yank-ass bitches" - Christopher Nolan
