Years ago, there was this comic book I read, based on the Justice League TV show, where a wizard, a demon, Supergirl, and Batman (I think) go to hell to beat the Devil, or something like that. Is that the “weird” Shyamalan would want? Because I think it’d be a hoot.

He also only films in or near Philadelphia. True! I’d forgotten that. Any DC or Marvel heroes based in Philly?

DC or Marvel would also have to out of their fucking minds, that's another condition of this deal, I mean could you imagine this nutter helming a Batman movie? the twist would be there was no mugger Bruce killed his parents himself and he repressed the memory of it, that's why he believes he is Batman not Bruce Wayne because subconsciously he knows what Bruce did and he cannot stand it, which is also why he wears a mask...dear fucking god no, I would rather Mr Batnips got given a 3rd movie.

His genius was overstated early on in his career as is his supposed incompetence now. I think he could handle the duality of a character like Sentry. I also wouldn't mind letting him submit a treatment for a Hulk movie either. I think he would get that it all starts with the gamma bomb.

I’d like to see him make a movie based on Solstice. Her powers are kind of weird, she’s from India, and could easily be based in Pennsylvania. My fiancée is Indian and we’ve been waiting for a badass Indian superhero around here. We were so close when Hannah Simone was going to star in Greatest American Hero.. but it didn’t get picked up!
Multiple Man is probably something he could tackle as well.
If they let him go really obscure, then maybe Brother Power.

I did a little too much research on Pennsylvania in comic books.
In the 40's a murderer named the Headless Monster terrorized Pennsylvania but was stopped by Captain America and Bucky. A similar thing happened with a character called Satyr. The original Human Torch and someone called 'Toro' also investigated a murder there. Also, Doc Ock and Mysterio met there during a heist where Doc Ock asked him to join the Sinister Six.
The most relevant would be the Liberteens which were the Pennsylvania based team of the 50 State Initiative. It consists of Blue Eagle, 2-D, Hope, Iceberg, Ms. America, The Revolutionary, and Whiz Kid.
But I don't know if any of that is weird enough for M. Night.

I kinda have this "fear" that whatever movie he made for either studio would come out like The Last Airbender. He might be better at his own stuff rather than an established IP.

I would watch the shit out of M. Night Shyamalans X-Men or Justice League Dark. Those lend themselves somewhat to his brand of "weird".

It would need a gimmicky surprise. So there's some big threat and the superheroes fight and all die except maybe Captain America and he wanders into a room and it's Stan Lee sitting there. And Captain America says: who are you?
And he replies: God! But I can also be the Devil if the mood hits me.
Captain America goes to leave the room and as he approaches the door there's a mirror and he suddenly sees that he is now a woman.
Stan Lee says: Expanded market considerations. Excelsior!
