I have a small top-round pot roast in the oven, now. In about 1/2 hour, or 45 minutes, I'll add some quartered potatoes, and "go" for about another hour.
That's my favorite go-to Sunday dinner, when I want left-overs for 1-2 nights.

Two friends are coming over, and I'm going to braise lamb shanks. Tonight (it's only 3 PM, Saturday, here), I'll stud them with shards of garlic, and "needles," of rosemary. Rice, and steamed asparagus, will complete the menu. One of my guests has been put in charge of dessert ... it's entirely up to him, and I don't know what it will be.

what's everyone cooking up? How did that pot roast turn out? Had what you see below today. Looked just like that but I put in some asparagus. Man Alive! That looks mouthwatering!
I went to Frisch's (in the South they're called Shoney's) last night as it was the last night of their seafood hot bar.
Their shrimp scampi linguini did not look like that. 😩 It was overcooked and dried out.
Everything else was good though, especially the cheddar/garlic biscuits and clam chowder.
