true. he is saying the obvious.
Mcovy is one of those actors that can tell usless movies from useful movies.
reminds me of the scarecrow actor in the tdk series, who said although his kids love marvel movies, tdk era was a better time for comics

Kevin Feige >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> James McAvoy
Didn't watch the video, but when McAvoy is the head of a multi billion dollar critically acclaimed franchise, then his opinion will hold some weight.
Guardians of the Galaxy is still the closest we've gotten to a good X-Men movie.

"God, we needed some help."
Was he saying that he knew that Apocalypse were bad?
The thing about what he said about how people see the Avengers vs how they could see Mutants really doesn't matter. He said it himself about there only being a handful of heroes on Earth in the MCU when there are way more Mutants. The Avengers aren't a "race" of people unto their own like the X-men being Mutants. They kinda touched on it in Agents of SHIELD with the Inhumans. People were more afraid of a race of people with superpowers over the fact that people had powers. It's like waking up and finding out that all Chinese people had superpowers. People would find it fascinating that 10 Chinese people had superpowers, but all of them?

He may be hinting that he felt Apocalypse was going to be mediocre. Also he said "if they have something fresh and new for Xavier then hed be willing to come back if asked" which was intetesting as it sounds like he knew the character and dynamic with Magneto has become stale. As for the mutant and race thing, i dont buy it. Unless the mutants are literal aliens and come from a different universe/dimension i dont see how humans would fear them and not Avengers/superpowered beings. The race of chinese people works if there isn't American super powered being already in existence to fight the threat.

Which I'm also guessing he's talking about the Xavier/Magneto thing.
There is a rumor that Endgame takes place years after Infinity War. But looking at the Far From Home trailer, he's still in high school. So if that was true that would mean there has to be some timefoolery. That would mean that Mutants could be there from the beginning. Endgame might have a restart to the entire universe. So that would mean that Mutants would have been there before the Mutates/Avengers.
They fear them because they are born with the powers. And they know that Mutants can be born from a normal couple. The fear is not the powers. It's that there will one day be no more normal people (not realizing that 2 Mutants can give birth to a normal human). People know that Captain America was an experiment during the war. People know that Iron Man is just a guy in a suit. But people also know that the X-men were giving their powers because of a randomized selection of natural birth for the most part. That's the fear. Until people realize that Captain America and Spider-man has a very high chance to give birth to Mutants (like Mr. Fantastic and Sue Richards, twice), they will lump them in with Mutants also.

It’s more complicated than that. They are feared because of the belief that mutants are trying to take over the world, similar to how the Nazis believed that Jews are parasites trying to take over.

mcvoy also talks about deeper meaning and themes that xmen covers. mcu is not known for that are they? they are just known for being dumb flicks for the brainless masses.

They will go with something along those lines. Wanda is gonna be the link between the 2 types Im sure. But for that scenario to matter it would have to be decades later. Mutants would have to be in abundance for people to start fearing them. Unless you are talking a reverse "No more Mutants" scenario. Because her giving actual birth to Speed and Wiccan would take a long time for society to care about another race taking over.

Phasing out normal people. The other part of it is doing whatever they want. Like when Kelly says "Now what's to stop her from walking into a bank vault, or the White House, or their houses?"
