Before I set off for a month in Mexico City in Sept 2017 (or was it '16? damn, your memory goes real quick ) some wit in England told me to try a street taco with eye of fish filling. Yuk. But he said when I asked for one from a vendor the vendor would say "Left or right?" as a well-worn joke. I believed this at the time but never had the courage to ask for a fish eye taco. I now believe that no such taco exists, or if it does I encountered no sighting of it and that I was the victim of a silly prank. And anyway I didn't want to risk offending any vendors by clumsily requesting it with my limited Spanish. You never know how people will react. So I stuck with beef, chicken, vegetable and fish tacos. And very tasty and inexpensive they were too. And every vendor I used was so very friendly and helpful. It wasn't my first trip to Mexico but I've never quite got to speaking fluent Spanish. The one thing I have learned, though, is that if you're struggling to say something just interject your broken lingo with a heartfelt "Lo siento" ("I'm sorry!") while gesturing helplessly and smiling, before continuing. The good people will appreciate your apology and will make the extra effort to help you. That's what I find anyway. Wonderfully friendly people and lip-smacking grub too.

I voted for the beef "salad" taco, because shredded beef tacos are my absolute favorite. This is not to say that I dislike fish tacos. But, beef has always been my favorite. I'm not sure what goes into these particular tacos, so I'll watch the video.
