Wow, certainly didn't expect that to happen. This movie has got some ridiculous legs.

Wow, certainly didn't expect that to happen. This movie has got some ridiculous legs. Honestly so what??? Aquaman is a very mediocre movie that happened to make money. There is NOTHING new or groundbreaking with this acting wise, storywise or CGI effects wise.

There is NOTHING new or groundbreaking with this acting wise, storywise or CGI effects wise. Because it means that quite a number of people liked it enough to keep spending for it. You don't normally hit those kinds of numbers without multiple people rewatching it in theaters.

Avatar is the highest grossing film of all time. Just saying. Yeah still, after 9 years and nothing has even come close to passing it. There's only even been 6 movies that have made more than half of that amount. Even the biggest movies you could think of with a new Star Wars and an Avengers movie that includes almost all the main superheroes in it...they can't even make three quarters of what Avatar did. There's nothing even on the way that we know that seems like it has a chance at passing it either. Avatar 2 would probably have the best chance.

People love Jason Momoa. That's all I have to say about that.

Still $63 million away. I'm not sure it's going to make it, not that it matters.
Or does it matter? Suddenly box office matters to fans like Power Ranger? Good to know, I'll make a note of that.

Still $63 million away. I'm not sure it's going to make it, "At this steady pace, Aquaman is projected to pass Captain America: Civil War in the coming weeks. Currently only $63 million behind the Marvel film, strong legs in current markets and a decent opening in Japan will no doubt help the figures considerably."

What I want to hear from guys like Lower Ranger and DC fan is whether they actually think Box Office is an important factor to judge a movie's merit on?

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to see a movie reach a certain feat. It's just a fun a talking point.

I don't think it should, it isn't as good as CA:CW. I enjoyed it, it was a fun film, but God was that CGI awful. I'm talking about Kidman and Aquaman's father at the beginning of the film. Why not hire an actor and an actress to play their younger selves? I don't remember ever seeing such horrible CGI honestly. Also the acting - Amber Heard cannot act, Dafoe, who usually can, seemed to lost that ability in this film and came off as sounding cheesy every time he opened his mouth. The best thing about the film was Momoa. One thing I didn't understand and found weird was why they left Sicily in a boat and didn't just swim to where they wanted to go as they are superfast swimmers.
