If Anthony Davis ends up going to the Lakers, or the Celtics --- would that be good for the NBA?
I say not. How boring is a league where it is always the Warriors and the Celtics? Or the Warriors and the Lakers?
Dynasties are great for the two teams in contention. But most other people lose interest.
What do you think?

In that one year of going for the title it would be interesting. After that, it's just the Warriors in a different uniform. I know people get really tired of the Patriots, but there are years like this one where most of the regular season it doesn't look like they are going to win it. With the Warriors, there hasn't been a time in the last four years where I haven't thought they were going to win it.

I think people are still tired of the Patriots. Especially after what happened in New Orleans. And what people are alleging happened in Kansas City. Fixed results turn people off. Especially when their teams are cheated out. And the same two teams win all the time.

I'd prefer 4-5 super teams to 1 or 2, but either way it can be fun to cheer for them, or for them to be over thrown.

Even with their "scuffling" early this year, I never thought the Warriors were in any danger of losing the championship.

As a Celtics fan, I would love to see Davis in Boston. I would hate to see him in LA.
I would rather see a wholly new NBA Finals this year, meaning no Golden State and no Lebron.
It won't happen in the West. Golden State is the best team and, barring a miracle trade, should dominate in the playoffs. Cousins a great addition.
The East is up for grabs but I don't see any of them beating the Warriors in a 7 game series. Unless the Celtics get Davis. They sorely need an inside presence on offense and defense.

Why not go to the Atlanta Hawks?

But super teams can be defeated by them being blown out. But the refs seem to play favorites. Like what they apparently did for the Rams and Patriots this year. I suspect the NFL tells their refs, "If there is a blow out, there is nothing you can do. But if it is close, do what you can to help these teams." That is what I suspect happened in both conference championships this year

As long as masses of fans are crying and whining about it, Iām all for it.

I thought this was going to be about raising the nets in the NBA.
I don't care to watch guys who are seven feet tall slam dunk on a ten foot hoop... that's like watching me slam dunk on an eight foot hoop.

Yes.
It's tremendous for the league.
Especially if he goes to the Lakers.
The new Evil Empire in hoops replacing the Dubs (think Durant is bolting to New York).
Yankees, Cowboys, Pats, Lakers/Celts, Notre Dame - when all these teams are good/elite - it makes it that much more fun when 'your' team goes up against the Evil Empire - they're fun stories to watch all year as they get hated on by the masses all year.
There's nothing like 'your team' knocking King Kong off the mountain as you circle that date on calendar every year.

Couldn't agree more.
As a fan it would be entertaining as hell.
Especially if you get AD, LeBron and say Klay with the Lakers.
Then let's say throw any combination of Kawhi, Kyrie with the Clips
What an L.A. rivalry and must see TV.
KD with Knicks with a returning Porzingis? Maybe Kyrie goes there - be some fun wars with the Celts and Sixers
