From Fatman Beyond. Kevin visited Episode IX set met people and talked to crew members who worked Justice League. It's edited a bit so he probably felt some things prolly shouldn't be said on the internet. He did talk about Jim Lee's story boards for Justice League 1, 2 and 3 though. It starts at around 33min. Video should start there.

Just because there was a good vision in place does not guarantee Snyder could deliver on that.

Just because there was a good vision in place does not guarantee Snyder could deliver on that. This is true, but at least it would've been consistent with everything prior in the DCEU and would've told a more rounded story with enough build up for later movies. Also, it would've ended where Aquaman began.

Um, the Green Lantern story is bulls*"t. The deleted scene is on YouTube and does in fact feature Superman, not GL.
It doesn't even make any sense. So GL shows up out of f**king nowhere, apparently they don't even have an actor cast - they just have some green lights flawlessly removed later just for the trailer, and Alfred sh*ts his pants and says "let's hope you're not too late"? Over Green Lantern, the guy who's weakness is the color yellow? No way, Jose. Kevin needs to check his sources.

That way they wouldn't have to remove lights. Also just having the green lights could've been a feint like filming multiple different endings scenes to throw off leaks.

Also, it would've ended where Aquaman began. Fair enough, but in my opinion, there was no real story there to be well rounded. Snyder is just a poor poor long form storyteller with no grasp of character.

To keep Superman's return a secret? Everyone and their mom knew Superman was returning. Or to keep this uncast, unforeshadowed Green Lantern a secret?

If you can seed confusion and conflicting leaks then you keep people guessing. Or it could've been wouldn't this scene work to introduce Lantern lets run one with green LEDs Also without knowing when and where the original scene was going to go you could insert an uncast character and unforeshadowed character. Just spitballing but what if the "Green Lantern" version was first conceived as a post credit scene. Where he comes in and you never saw the Lantern just the green light and a hand with a ring. The setup would be minimal to do it. Green LED's on an person off camera how they did Doc Manhattan. This could've been done with and without the green light. Later when the idea for the Latern was shot down other shots could've been worked with Sups or even during the Lantern Version as directors/writers do shoot a lot of different types of takes just in case Sups was done too. I'm just saying there are a multitude of different ways this could've been done. I generally believe that shots where done with Green Light for a Lantern scene. It could've just been a maybe we could do it this way an introduce Lantern lets just shoot one or 2 takes with Green LED's.

It would have to be done during the "Lantern version" considering Superman is seen in the same shot as Alfred. I can't believe anyone can actually believe this story knowing the scene has been leaked on YouTube to fully show Superman while some unnamed asshole is the only source for a GL cameo (who said that it wasn't reshot to include Superman to throw people off, but just flat out says it never had Superman), but to each his own. Alfred saying "he said you'd come" to a character never before mentioned? Sure, whatever. The whole JL including Superman not being able to handle Steppenwolf and the world depending on Green Lantern? *Green Lantern*? Why not.
