Another American live-action movie I'm looking for, this time a Christmas comedy. Watched it during the 90s so it's either from that time or the 80s.
I think it starts with Santa Claus dressed as a normal man at an airport, coming "home" to the US. At the tollgate he shows his passport which says Santa Claus or something like it and the pass controller stares at him. I don't remember if he was let through or if he was detained and a friend needed to pick him up.
He did have a friend though and in another scene Santa is in the backseat given very dark sunglasses so he can't see anything while his friend is driving real crazy on the freeway.
