ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE starts out very well by introducing an exciting adventure (an expedition that takes place in 1914) with fun characters and funny jokes... but the plot (unlike the submarine) falls apart after the arrival to the city under water. The 2nd half is too rushed (we don't get to know who PRINCESS KIDAGAKASH "KIDA" NEDAKH really is). It made me think "Is it because the 1st half was too long?" but, after pondering, I realized that it's because the 2nd half was too short. However, the doubt made me appreciate that 1st half less. Another problem is that the major developments that the protagonist MILO THATCH goes through (falling in love with KIDA and becoming a strong leader who makes the team back him up against the villains (and therefore giving up a lot of money)) aren't presented in a believable way. 6/10 ATLANTIS PART 2: MILO'S RETURN 1/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog.
