It's 3 hours+ into Sunday where I live, can't wait for another historic NFL match-up. The mighty Patriots, representing the most successful state in American sports, take on a resurgent Rams franchise back home in L.A. Should be colossal. Can't wait!
Are you looking forward to the big game?
(# If you're affected by bad weather, my thoughts are with you, I'm just excited for the big game)

Wow, thanks. I've literally been saying for years (to anyone who'll listen) that Massachusetts is the most successful state, because that's where members of my family relocated a long time back, yet nobody ever questioned it, I guess because of the big sports teams present. I shall cease to spread such fake news from this moment on. Sincerely, thanks so much for educating me on this (I feel a fool and not for the first time!).

That's 12 professional teams to Massachusetts' 5. And California has 4 NFL teams, 3 NHL teams, 4 NBA teams, 3 MLS teams, and 5 MLB teams. That's a whopping 19 teams. Not really comparing apples to apples.

Bad weather? I know a good amount of the Super Bowl's hosting country is completely happy with the weather! Where I am at, temps are going up 60 degrees in two days. -15 yesterday, 45 tomorrow. I don't know if the roads are going to explode, but at least freezing to death is not an option.

It doesn't even have multiple teams unlike CA and NY.

More than a third of those championships in NY come from one team though. It's not as skewed as you guys are trying to make it seem. The Bill's, the Sabres, the MLS teams, the Jets, they aren't really contributing much to the numbers.

Louisiana makes sense, since they're just anti LA after that game, but some of the other states are pretty surprising. And Connecticut going for New England is interesting. Technically it IS New England, but most of the population is closer to NY, is part of the tristate area, and identifies as a New York fan base. Can't really figure why Alaska would go for the Pats.

I wonder why North Dakota are rooting for the Patriots. They seem isolated in this regard within their region, looking at the map.

All the more reason to hate North Dakota.

So they can hit 52 in Mass today. NJ has 3 from hockey and 1 from soccer, but those NFL Giants didn't play in New York, ya know. And don't forget all those NHL championships in Canada provinces.

I just hope for an exciting game. Has there been a double OT game? I wouldn't mind seeing one.

It's not NY or California's fault that Massachusetys is too lame to support a dozen or more pro sports teams. Yhe facy is NY and California are the 2 most dominant states in pro sports and Massachusetts isn't even close.

No, NY and California are the 2 most succeddful states. It's not NY and California's fault that Massachsetts is too lame to support more pro sports teams. Heck, throw in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. That's 6 states (including Mass). NY and California sill beat those 6 states combined.

Try using logic, I know that's hard for you, only a few countries or areas can be reliably compared to either either of those states in population/$ sense. No reasonable person would consider that a fair comparison.
