Usually they have a has-been rock band which might be decent or even better than the halftime show.
It's crazy with all the hype and how they have more hours dedicated to just talking about it than the actual game itself. They make it seem as if it's going to be longer than 3 hours when it turns out to be the same time as every other football game after all.

It's almost always interesting to see how badly whoever sings the National Anthem will actually botch it.

I know the hype is crazy, I’ve just started watching it now, and their showing a fucking interview with Trump, totally unrelated to football. I guess that’s how they are trying to boost their news coverage. I’ll see if there is anything good on it.

They really over analyze it to death and pull out every fucking stat (When he wears Jockey underwear he completes more passes than when he wears Hanes.) and will probably show a video of a couple of players, "He had humble beginnings and went here to school in a one room school house where he walked five miles in blizzards to it. Let's talk to his 3rd cousin to an uncle three times removed who he has never called even once to find out what kind of man he really is," blah, blah, blah. It gets ridiculous when at the end of the day it's just another football game when before it felt special.

They just did a cool feature on Atlanta’s music scene, definitely worth watching. It’s too bad that the NFL didn’t go with some of these Atlanta artists for the halftime show instead of Maroon 5 as Atlanta has a great music scene. I enjoy pieces like that on the pregame show.
Then they went onto one of their “let’s worship the military” segments and I hit the mute button.

When during the game they cut to a base in some godforsaken country I throw up a little bit.

The military industrial complex gives the NFL millions for the military worship segments and it makes me sick. It’s well disguised but it’s pro war propaganda by the military industrial complex. But if you point this out, you will be called a traitor who’s committing the cardinal sin of “disrespecting the troops”. Well you know what, wearing a uniform doesn’t make you a god.

Whichever Team wins " SUPERBOWL 53" tonight, I actually wouldn't be surprised if Trump said later on that he played a Major Role in that team's Super Bowl Victory.

I didn't know that. Really? That explains a lot. Yeah, I don't get this military hero worship bullshit. Somehow we are supposed to forget those assholes invaded a country that was leaving us all alone only to go over there to murder their women and children. Yeah, just call them "Collateral damage" and all is forgiven. How dare that child be in the street when the soldiers were shooting at it! And they say to blame the politicians and not the soldiers. Fuck that shit. That asshole soldier was the one who pulled the trigger or dropped the bomb on that innocent family. I say, blame both. It figures the NFL and the military will suck each other's cock in a 69. Macho shit. A sport where men try to kill each other figuratively and yes they do try to hurt each other on purpose even though the NFL says they don't vs a career where they murder others literally. They can fine and throw all the flags they want to. Those defensive linemen will still do all they can to take out the starting QB.

There are tons of bar bands around who have not and will never make it big and yet they can be just as good or even better than those who make it to the top 40. They haven't made it big because they are just keeping it local. They should scout out the clubs and find a really good local band of the city the SB is in and give them the halftime show instead. I bet that would bring back the respect it used to have.

I'm actually surprised that he didn't take credit again for no major airplane crashes this year like he did last year.

I liked the CBS retrospective on Broadway Joe. 18 point underdog who guaranteed a victory. Was cool seeing him back in the day in those pink pants and being the only one bold enough to wear a mink coat on the sideline of a game. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif)

Several times on the pregame show they’ve stated that everyone thought Goff was a bust after his first season. That’s a load of crap, I never thought Goff was a bust, they didn’t even let him start until November and their coaching staff was in turmoil, I knew Goff was going to be a solid franchise QB.
