By saying this, you almost make it preordain that they will have a perfect season. This year, someone could have said, 'No team has ever won the SB after losing in it the year before,' yet the Pats won. Cowboys and Dolphins both won Super Bowls after losing the year before, dumbass! The Dolphins not only won the Super Bowl after losing the year before, they went undefeated, which has never been before or since in the NFL. Still hasn't been done since the early 70s, and it just makes the Pat's even more awesome for being the first team in a very long time to do. BTW, Dolphins played 2 less games.

Only thing that matters is Dolphins won every time they stepped on the field and no other team in NFL history can say that. And that just kills Pats fans that they can never claim the greatest season in NFL hisotory, all because their Golden Boy Brady choked against a dpuble-digit underdog in the biggest game in franchise history.

LOl, you've gone full retard. 2 games less is huge, especially for the older players. Fewer injuries makes it a hell of lot easier to go for the marathon of effort. Its nearly 15% extra regular games a year.

You, who is making the very same argument.

As for playing 2 less games, it doesn't matter. John Wooden's UCLA teams went 30-0 4 times. UNLV in 1990 and Kentucky a few years ago were undefeated until the Final Four. Both UNLV and Kentucky won more than 30 games, but they didn't go undefeated like UCLA did. Doesn't matter that UCLA only played fewer games. Only thing that matters is UCLA won every game the played. Likewise, doesn't matter the Dolphins played 17 games. Only thing that matters is the Dolphinz won every game they played - a 100% winning percentage, perfection. Never been done before or since by any other NFL team. Greatest and most revered season in NFL history.

Then maybe they might be able to sleep at night.

Dolphins played 2 less games. Doesn't matter. Is Always Wrong still trying to peddle the notion that going undefeated through 17 games is more impressive than going undefeated through 18 games? What a dope.

Furthermore, the talent difference is far greater between mere college and pro.

Magic's Lakers and Dr. J's 76ers and Bird's Celtics only had to win 12 postseason games to win a title. LeBron's Cavs won 16 postseason games when they won a title. So you're basically saying that LeBron and the Cavs were better tjan Magic and the Lakers, Dr. J and the 76ers, and Bird and the Celtics because those teams played fewer games. That's how dumb you "2 less games" argument ia. The truth is you Pats fans are just jealous and it kills you that the Dolphins went undefeated and the Pats have nevet been able to go undefeated, all because your Golden Boy Brady choked against a double-digit underdog in the biggest game in francise history.

Yep, that's what kills the Patriots. I wonder if it kills every other fan base as well? And I wonder if it kills Miami fans born after 1973.

Very different games. Football leaves players barely able to move the next day. And no, the Dolphins haven't had a real team since 1973. I prefer my SIX SB to their 2, especially since mine came when football became harder.

Any conversation with DC Fan is pointless, but this one in particular. Yes, it was a bummer they lost the Super Bowl that year. They've won three since then. How upsetting is Aaron Boone's home run in game 7 of the 2003 ALCS to Red Sox fans at this point? Four World Series titles later, I can tell you it registers a shrug of the shoulders at this point.
What's more impressive to me is the Patriots record 21 game winning streak that came in the midst of back to back championship seasons in 2003 & 2004, in which the Pats went 14-2 both years. 21 wins in a row, back to back 14-2 regular seasons, back to back titles. You're never going to see that again. You'll see 19-0 before you ever see that again.

You're trying to compare a partial saeaon to a full season. Thst's like s pitcher pitching 8 perfect innings and then leaving the game before the 9th inninng and claiming he pitched a perfect game. The Patriots were 18*-1. And only an idiot would think 18*-1 is bytrr than 17-0. Heck, the 49ers and Bears both finished 18-1 and WON the Super Bowl (unlike the Pats) and even they don't claim that as better than a 17-0 season. Lile I said, Pats fans ard really jealous and it just kills them that the can nrver claim the greatrst season in NFL hisory, all brcause their Golden Boy Brady choked against a double-digit underdog in the biggest game in franchise history.
