Liev Schreiber seems to have found his niche but Vincent D’Onofrio has always been good whether playing the villain or just some nut.

D'Onofrio was so good as Wilson Fisk in the Daredevil television series.

Now I’m thinking about it, I wonder if Schreiber was ever considered to play Batman?

There's a guy in Jaws (1975) who looks like him. He'd be around the same age too.

There's also a guy who looks like Obama as well. NOT sure about the age though.

I guess I rate them about equal although D'Onofrio was the farmer in MEN IN BLACK so he gets extra regard for that genius acting. I did like the former's turn as the agent in SUM OF ALL FEARS. Affleck I am sorry to say just has too much David Manners in him to be an effective action star.
How many have seen a movie starring Liev Schreiber's father Tell?
I HAVE.
He only did one movie, THE KEEPER, with Christopher Lee. If you see it, you will wish you can forget it. Tell portrays a cross between Sam Spade and Mr Rogers who tells Lee that he comes from a family with generations of incest. If there was ever a moment in a movie where Lee did not look like he was acting, it was his reaction to the news.

Donofrio.
I like Scheiber a lot tho...but Donofrio has shown layers of range in his career that stand out more.

Understandable. I thought you might not have been referring to Jaws as I was.

Vincent D'Onofrio
doesn't Liev Schreiber play the same role in all his movies, most of which seem pretty ordinary, regardless. the daytrippers (1996) is a good indie movie, but I can't think of much else... spotlight, scream, I suppose.
Vincent D'Onofrio has played some memorable roles, with a greater range of performances, and ultimately, his movies are better.
top 5.. full metal jacket strange days the whole wide world (lead) men in black chained (lead)

D'Onofrio, based on his brief performance as Orson Welles in Ed Wood.

D'Onofrio, based on his brief performance as Orson Welles in Ed Wood. Liev Schreiber plays Orson Welles in the TV movie RKO 281 (1999) about the making of citizen kane. Interesting, historically, if not particularly memorable.
