Interesting. I wonder what made him go that direction? I don’t know but the guy gives great horror. I don’t think I’d mind seeing some sea horror film set in the DC universe. Normally I’d think this is a studio throwing too much shit at the wall hoping it will stick all due to ONE success... BUT I think the key info here is “lower budget”. If they can commit to making smaller films like this they could really get a leg up on the MCU which has always put its smaller stuff on TV. I’m definitely curious to see how Black Widow performs compared to this. Both will be their first foray into lower budget films. |

Why do people defend this? WB has no idea what DC is really about, they’re just following market trends and trying to make a quick buck.

The DC fans wanted a Wonder Woman movie for years....and they poked around...didn't seem interested and when they finally did it, it was a hit. The same with Aquaman...and it was a bigger hit. That’s just stupid and Disney doesn’t even have anything to do with this decision. If they’d want to do a horror theme DC movie, why not Justice League Dark which would kill two birds with one stone by introducing new characters to the ever expanding DCEU and be still a horror film? This is about as stupid as giving a spin-off movie to the lame cyborg pussy from LOGAN. |
