Is it finally time for DC fans to say, "Yea, we're fucked"?

Is it finally time for DC fans to say, "Yea, we're fucked"? I don’t see why this should inspire anything more than mild indifference.

However it is irritating that they'd devote time and $$ for a spin-off dealing with what amounted to a small section of the previous movie just to score extra money. That being said, the upcoming slate for the DCEU still includes movies people want to see such as Cyborg, Green Lantern Corps, the Batman film, New Gods, and Flash. And that's all in the next 2, 3 years. Well okay, not sure how many want to see Cyborg especially now he's on Doom Patrol.

I'm surprised that Mera didn't get her own movie. The response to her character seem to be overwhelmingly positive and seems to be one of the best things about the film.

Yeah because they're so good at actually making those movies, they don't just seem to enjoy announcing them.

Translation:
DC worker 1 "Hey mang, we gotta a lotta of these shitty looking CGI models left over from making Aquamang."
DC worker 2 "Wait a minute... I have an idea!"

Cool to hear. Thing is though, the first one packed in so much, I wonder what else they can do.

The trench over Man of Steel 2. Harley quinn’s Sirens over Martian Manhunter. Joker solo movie over freaking Green Lantern! Why do people defend this? WB has no idea what DC is really about, they’re just following market trends and trying to make a quick buck. Yeah I have no idea what they're playing at. This or the Harley Quinn movie didn't need to be made. Man of Steel 2, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Hawkman should be the priority. I have to agree. Though I admit the idea of The Trench movie is interesting, it really shouldn't take precedence over MoS 2 or Flash or Green Lantern. And Joker and Harley movies getting priority over a Batman movie?

Well I wish I could say it was surprising but nothing at WB/DC surprises me anymore.

But wait! There’s more! Now it seems that she won’t even appear in Suicide Squad 2. I guess I can see why, it’s a dangerous occupation and Amanda Waller might need replacements. But I wouldn’t have minded if she or Deadshot remained. screenrant.com/suicide-squad-2-harley-quinn-james-gunn/

I agree it’s a terrible idea (and I haven’t seen Aquaman, so correct me if for some reason my idea’s impossible or implausible), but if they are going to do it, probably the smartest idea would be to do it almost on its own—just as a straightforward horror movie, with (as they have to do the shared-universe bit, unfortunately) only a few callbacks to the larger superhero universe. Taken on its own, it might be an interesting movie even if not a great superhero flick.

They need to find some lead character to connect to DCEU. Maybe a team of ARGUS agents or something have to go out on a ship to investigate something or other and end up fighting for their lives in the Trench. Maybe Clint Eastwood's kid from Suicide Squad can be the star.
