How will they justify "enjoying it"?

Doubt they will. Looks gay AF. But but but it's a DCU movie! Even if it was a 90 minute still of a turd in a cape, they would have to eulogize about the awesome cinematography and deep sociopolitical message.

And it looks like the same kind of film hardcore MCU claim to love.
I think it will be perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

I'm a huge MCU fan but I also like the DCEU even though I sometimes point out it's faults. I had no problem giving Aquaman an 8/10 and WW a 9/10. But I think the OP is referring to the people that give every MCU movie 1/10 and heap endless praise on every DCEU movie.
If those folks were honest about why they dislike the MCU, they also would have hated Aquaman and , most likely, Shazam!

Not quite as good as some of your other efforts, NormanClature —mostly because I actually agree with you that it looks like what the DCEU-loving folks here claim to hate. But you should have returned in style, with something like “If Superman is invulnerable, why does he get hurt so much in the DCEU?” Complete with a lot of s, s, and s.

The more of that costume I see, the more it comes off as the Times Square version of Shazam. That padding is ridiculous and fake AF.

^^^The one character appearance I’ve never understood at all with the Times Square people is the Penguin (or at least was when I was in NYC a lot last year). The Danny DeVito version. One of the guys is actually dressed up like that, and he’s asking for money just like the rest of ’em. I understand the guys dressed up as Batman, Iron Man, Spider-Man, etc.—but the Danny De Vito Penguin? Huh?

All of the Times Square "superheroes" have the stench of absurdity and desperation about them. Although, it must take courage to squeeze your beer gut into a skin-tight Spider-Man outfit and then accessorize it with a fanny pack --- superhero burlesque at its finest.

Those people make me sad.
They are just one step above (below?) beggars.

It’s just that I understand (don’t like, but understand) their trying to make money off of wearing a Spider-Man outfit. I don’t get trying to make it off of a Penguin costume.

Yes, the Penguin is an odd choice. Especially that particular iteration. I can't imagine the child who'd want to be photographed with that character. I hate to be this judgmental about what people do to earn a living but, as a comic book fan, the Times Square superhero set is demoralizing. Nothing makes being a proud comic book reader feel more like a poor life choice than a visit to Times Square.

Speaking of those Times Square guys. There was a video (real footage shown on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart) I saw years ago of a guy dressed up as a Sesame Street character spouting racist propaganda... Another Sesame Street character then came up and told him to "Shut the $&@$ up!" Disturbing yet hillarious stuff.

If you are going to make an attempt at being humerous/sarcastic, it would be an idea to use an example of something I might actually write. Too much to hope for, I guess.
