I confess, I had to look up who Kenneth McMillan was. I have seen him but never took any particular notice of him, one way or another.

I know him best from that and Salem's Lot.

They both showed up as co-stars opposite cinematic brothers Duvall and DeNiro in the Black Dahila-like tale TRUE CONFESSIONS in 1981.

Prime etc.I looked at his filmography and have never seen most of the films or tv he was in, thus the needed research. I tend to gravitate to noticing the character players. I do recognize his face and now, I have seen it with a name attached.

He had a memorable scene with James Mason in Salem's Lot when discussing the missing children.
"We seem to have misplaced one."
"Ciao. It's a familiar Italian expression, it means goodbye."
"I didn't know you were Italian."
"I'm not, the word is."

Did see a few episodes of Rhoda but did not care for it and do not remember her boss.

I hated him in RAGTIME. He ruined everything. It took David Lynch to make him lovable in DUNE.

I remember him from Dune 1984 and Runaway Train 1985, and maybe a few other places.
I was wondering (many years ago) why he disappeared and then read he had died already back in 1989, and he was only 54!.

It's interesting because he is much of the same type as Durning or Caroll O'Conner but he is much colder. There's no sense of sympathy for him in any of the films I have seen him in. Durning could be a good guy or bad, but there is more "there." McMillan, I wonder if he ever did a sympathetic character. I think he was a diner operator in SERPICO too. Yep, haha and I recall it was another unfriendly character.
