Empire's Jussie Smollett is Jurnee Smollett Bell(Black Canary)'s older brother who based on much more recent and substantial evidence is looking pretty likely to have orchestrated his own attack in Chicago last month for both publicity and political purposes, if found guilty Smollett could face up to three years in prison for breaking the law. At this point no one knows exactly if he acted alone in planning it out or if he had assistance from producers of his show Empire or his own family.
I don't know for sure, I don't think it will but I can imagine it might turn some away from seeing it.

I don't see why. His sisters not a dick. She wasn't in on it. And surely she can be forgiven for being concerned for him.

If I were her I would smartly stay out of it. Whatever happens to him she's still going to have to live her own life and career.
