I made the horrible mistake of going to the midnight release of that film. I was really looking forward to it at the time. Any information that came out for the movie was just bad and angered people more and more but I must have been under some delusional state because I kept thinking it would be good. And then I watched it... But still it was only because that movie was so atrocious that Toriyama made Battle of Gods and now it's all come back in a big way.

people are also beginning to notice how the media is trying to ruin to alita to prop up captain marvel and are not falling for it.
The only people who are "noticing" this are people who wear tinfoil hats and hear the UFO's talking to them.

No thanks. well we know mcu fans dont like to watch movies better than their own. yes thanks for us. So justanaveragejoe automatically hates 'Wonder Woman' as well? Because as far as I can see, he doesn't.

I never thought it had the chance of turning out okay, the writing was on the wall left to right, up and down, that it wasn't going to be any good even before a single photo from the set were released. Fox made it just to hold onto the movie rights and didn't care if it was any good that's why only spent peanuts on it but even then it didn't help much because it still lost money, but it's goal was still accomplished - holding longer onto the rights.

Dragon Ball Evolution...oh god the memories! I made the horrible mistake of going to the midnight release of that film. That movie is why I'm an alcoholic. for now due to the eccentricity of magnas. Hollywood should stay away from dragon ball, salior moon, yu gi oh.
for now they can succeed only in adapting more magnas with a heavy sci fi edge like alita and gundam wing

Having seen both, I can say that 'Captain Marvel' is a better film overall. Sure, 'Alita: Battle Angel' has better action scenes and main character, but there is a massive storytelling goof towards the end that bogged down the film singlehandedly.

^ I have to disagree. I found Alita to be a much more fleshed-out character than Carol Danvers, the fight scenes in Alita way were better, and the visuals were also better. The story of CM is tighter I suppose, but it's also because it's a lot less complex. Alita managed to deliver its story well despite being a lot more complex. At the end of their respective movies, I found myself eagerly wanting to see more Alita movies. Didn't quite feel the same with CM.

I have seen both Alita: Battle Angel and Captain Marvel and i honestly enjoyed both movies pretty much the same. I gave Alita a 7.5\10 and Captain Marvel a 7\10.
But movies where good.

Alita was a better character than Carol Danvers, though part of that migh have to do with the latter coming from an emotionless civilization. -Action scenes: Again, no dispute here. -Visuals: This is a bit hard to compare since 'Captain Marvel' doesn't really have a lot of moment to showcase its visual, but when it was there, it was done well - like Kree Empire. -Score: I know that you didn't mention this, but honestly, I think both films are kind of lacking in terms of scores. -Story: Well... I don't know if I can agree with this particular aspect because I found the ending of 'Alita: Battle Angel' really jarring, and not because of the sequel setup.

I was more interested in Alita's story, Captain Marvel had better dialogue.
I preferred Alita overall.

I still haven't seen Alita.
I don't trust Hollywood with Manga/Anime adaptions.
