"Four teenagers are killed in a car accident. Two of the teenagers refuse to go with "The Grim Reaper" and a race between life and death ensues! " ** I don't really understand why this movie gets to much hate? I mean, it's not a masterpiece, but it's still an enjoyable B horror flick. It has very low average rating on IMDB - 2,3. Is it only because it was parodied on Mystery Science Theater 3000? Am I the only one who liked it?

I remember thinking it wasn't as bad as it's made out to be. Fairly lively and the concept is actually imaginative for a limited budget film. It's the cheap execution, which can let it down and of course not enough Robert Z'Dar. But it's definitely not the pits.
MST3K commentaries do to seem to bring down some movies ratings even further down on IMDB. The 1964 "Devil Doll" was another film I didn't mind, which seems to follow the same fate due to the MST3K episode.

For some reason, there's a certain segment of people who vote all movies shown on MST3K with very low ratings. Soultaker isn't that bad. It may not have the greatest production values, but it's very entertaining, and that's all I'm looking for in a film like this. People should watch it apart from its MST3K version. It's a better film than portrayed.
I do like on MST3K that they point out how long we stay on the shot of the bus after the characters get off. That was funny. It reminds me of when Joe Bob Briggs pointed out how many times we see Ted Bundy pumping gas in that 1970s biopic (I forget its title). I love stuff like that.
