If for nothing else, general principle? I'm dead serious.
At this point the film is synonymous with discrimination (sexism and racism) and censorship of the highest and most Orwellian order. Now, of course, the brainwashed automatons -- the formersamhmds -- of this Brave New World will happily march to theaters and support this, but for the rest of us with even half a brain: is there any other conscionable option than to refuse to give this film one cent? I see no other moral course for reasonable people.
Guys, I'm worried about your willingness to support this sort of thing. Who else agrees that a boycott is in order?

I am genuinely puzzled by the reaction to what she said

I want to be caught up before Avengers Endgame so for me boycott is out of the question.
Plus if I cared about whatever silly thing a celebrity says or believes, I would be boycotting Tom Cruise and a bunch of other actors.

The OP doesn't believe a word he said. He is just trying to hurt the MCU.

If a Tom Cruise movie interests me, sure. I like the Mission Impossible films and I have every intention of watching the next one. Or the next Edge of Tomorrow.

Lord, you know you got some triggered snowflakes on your hand when an actor simply saying they wanted more minorities and women to be given access during the press tour makes grown-ass men melt down.

Of course we all support that. But her relentless message of hate and intolerance and discrimination -- and now ruthless censorship! -- undermines the values of the Captain Marvel character and jeopardizes our cherished MCU. She's a nuisance, a troublemaker, a shit-stirrer, an instigator, but nevertheless she persists! ETA: innit?

Her quotes could have easily been made in private but she had to publicly do it to radiate the, look at me im such a passionate activist! On a topic that the public has no invested currency in, that being the attendees of some press junket tours. She also has previous for her rude comments about 40 year old white men during her pressers about A wrinkle in time. Adding to all that is her casting is rubbish, she has a wooden face, has a flat ass, is being forcefully made the saviour in Infinity War instead of Adam Warlock simply cos shes female and is also being forcefully made the flagship bearer of the MCU going forward. And now its confirmed shes the strongest character in the MCU whatever that means. If viewers dont like this direction then they have a right to boycott on reasonable grounds.

But your money is yours to waste. I love the idea of Brie laughing all the way to bank while you see it ten times to prove a point, like a goober.

Seriously: should consumers boycott Captain Marvel? If for nothing else, general principle? I'm dead serious. Seriously? No. That's a seriously stupid idea. I'm dead serious when I say what you just said is seriously stupid. I'm super serious. Who else agrees that a boycott is in order? Let's figure out where we agree and disagree. 1. Do white men have a disproportionate amount of power, influence, and representation in Hollywood? 2. Is that the result of discrimination? 3. Is it then also discrimination to maintain that status quo? Guys, I'm worried about your willingness to support this sort of thing. Who else agrees that a boycott is in order? You should join Twitter and follow the other MRAs that always justify a way to shit on women.

How long have you been a double agent shilling for them? 3. Why, damn it. WHY?!

Yes, but nobody said she had to, thus making her comments a savage and vicious out-of-nowhere attack on the MCU's core demographic. And for what? ETA: innit?
