"... That is having no fandom at all. It's when you put out a movie, and nobody complains because nobody cares."

But what’s worse than having fits of outrage and nonsense from these toxic fandoms? Nothing.

You mean the patriots advocating for free speech, equality among the genders, and racial harmony in the face of Larson's repeated message of hate and exclusion? I dunno, mang. This is a hell of a situation she's created. Innit?

The only thing I know is that Captain Marvel is "not for me" according to its star, so I'll prolly skip it. ETA: still totally wanna see Endgame, though. Innit?

Might see it in the theatre but that depends on what I’m doing at the time.It in!

This is a hell of a situation she's created. Innit? To be fair, it isn't Captain Marvel or MCU fans that are complaining. Ultimately I don't know how big of a story this is to people who aren't moderate obsessives of the film industry such as ourselves. The backlash to her comments are far worse than her stance on inclusion. Maybe she could've found a better way to deliver her message, I don't know. Again I think the extreme backlash to her comments make the initial commentary on her part appear far more radical than it actually was. At the end of the day, if you like Marvel movies you're going to see it. I'm interested to see how it does financially. It isn't as groundbreaking and doesn't feature as iconic a character as WW so I don't think it'll do nearly as well. CM is one of my favorite characters from the comics but I've always felt the Larson casting was off. She doesn't have enough charisma or presence for the role. There's a certain amount of gravitas (and no, that isn't code for boobs) that needs to be there with this character-- especially if you're touting her as the 'forefront of the MCU' going forward. Frankly, I think Marvel has put a ton of pressure on Brie Larson with the way this film and this character have been marketed and it could really blow up in their face.

Star Wars "fans" heaping death threats on Kathleen Kennedy and racist comments on Kelly Marie Tran, DC "fans" threatening critics over bad reviews, Marvel "fans" threatening to boycott unless there get the trailer they want right when they want it and trying to troll Captain Marvel because they're afraid of vaginas...I'm over "fans".

Nonsense. You're just addicted to endlessly virtue-signaling and your perpetual victim complex, cherry-picking a handful of the worst troll comments to erect the same stupid strawman over and over again. ETA: and this ignores all the valid criticisms people have of the flicks, which the most infuriating part!!!1

I remember watching this youtube video where three 2nd-generation American-Asian ladies were talking about racism and discrimination.
One was Thai, one was Filipina and the last was Indonesian.
Thai: "I hate it that Thai women are mostly known for being cheap prostitutes, sex slaves or transsexuals."
Filipina: "I hate it that Filipinas are mostly known for being maids, cheap househelp or care-aids."
Indonesian: "Hey, at least you two are known for something, even if it's negative. What do people know about Indonesian women? Absolutely nothing! We're invisible and are usually mistaken for one of you two."

So basically you've been binge watching a ton of 90 Day Fiancé and are currently weighing your options.
