Let's all be Donald J. Trumps here and respond honestly and maturely. Don't try to make yourself look bigger or better than you really are. Be Trumpian in your responses.
Do you know everything - every rule, strategy, nuance... - of your favorite sport? Like, for instance, we have a dopey guy here named klawrencio who has season tickets to the Mets. One would assume that means he is a solid student of the game of baseball. However, I know for a fact that guy can't even tell you how many innings are in a game, nor can he name one team that plays in California. Now I am sure no one here is that lame, but be honest, are you like that in some respect?
Me? When it comes to boxing, I know EVERYTHING. The rules, the strategies, the subtleties, the history...I know it all. I know what to do if a guy is peppering me with solid jabs, I know how to fight off the ropes, I know all the heavyweight champs...I know everything. But my other favorite sport, basketball...ehhh. I still am clueless (and don't care) about the bonus or how many twenty second timeouts a team gets in a half, or if its a one and one, crap like that. To me that stuff was always unimportant. I also don't know how to actually play certain situations. My team on a two on one fastbreak, I am trailing...what exactly do I do? Keep running with my team, stay back on the defensive end, box out an opponent?
Boxing I know 100% Basketball I know 88%
Your favorite sports and what % do you know of the game?

First of all, marco, nobody knows 100% of anything. Yeah, I know you are being your boisterous self just for kicks (if you are indeed the real marco) but if I were to take you seriously, I'd say that it is hard to believe that you never encountered a boxing question you don't know the answer to. If it is the case, then it's because you haven't encountered the right questions. What are they? I don't know. I probably know 3% of boxing so I wouldn't know what to ask you to expose flaws in your knowledge. But just, there is no such thing as 100%, dude.
If you did know 100% of any field, then you'd better drop whatever else you were doing to go earn a lot of money - go be a consultant, coach, TV announcer, or something. Can you imagine how much people would want to pay you for an infallible knowledge of something, anything?

This said, I'll try to honestly answer your question.
My favorite sport is football.
If I think hard about it, it is dismal.
I probably know a lot about the rules. I often will have the correct interpretation when there is controversy. Let's say I know 90% there, because the rules in football are too complex and there will be the obscure ones I won't know.
Now, regarding the best strategy in each situation I'm a lot less accomplished. I just watch, in awe of what the offensive and defensive coordinators do, and I can rarely predict well what will be the next play. General stuff I do get (like "why aren't these guys running the ball more?" etc) but the fine points, I don't. Let's say, 30%.
Current players and their strengths and weaknesses, I know only the most famous ones; therefore a fraction of the total. 20% at most.
Regarding all the trivia and the history of the game, I'm terrible. First because I don't have good memory, and second because I'm not that interested in things likes stats, Hall of Fame players, and so forth. I don't even remember clearly who won the Super Bowl in most years. Maybe 20%.
Putting these four domains together, my average is a meager 40%, and this, for my very favorite sport. Dammit! For sports I don't care as much, I'm even worse.
Regardless, I love sports.
I guess superior knowledge is not required to enjoy a sport.

I bet if I came up and asked who was the referee in Louis-Schmeling I, you wouldn't have a clue. You're kidding, right? That is like asking what sport did Babe Ruth play. No joke, the ref in that fight was literally the Babe Ruth of boxing referees -- Arthur Donovan. My father and uncle went to both Louis v Schmeling fights. I've held the ticket stubs in my hands.

No one knows 100% of everything, but I am close in football and basketball, my two favorite sports. I love baseball, but I really just watch the Phillies and no other teams unless they are playing the Phillies. With football especially, I watch as many games as possible every week. Granted, I am talking about NFL and NBA, not college.
