Who do you want to see more?
WrestleMania.
Pretty much the Super Bowl.
A giant party. Once a year.
Who are you tuning in for? The Hogans, Cenas, Rocks of the world?
Or Skippy McGee from NXT vs. the Michael Jackson Chinese Guy and 30 chicks matches you get to see on RAW and Smackdown every week of the year?
Gimme me my Legends.
What say you?

I'll take a legends match as long as they can actually perform and aren't just going against people they've faced a million times in the past.

I'll take a legends match as long as they can actually perform and aren't just going against people they've faced a million times in the past. I don't understand this line of thinking for the life of me. Please explain. 'As long as they can actually perform'. Perform how? Mic work, presence, star power, persona? It's wrestling. Sports Entertainment. It's WrestleMania - one time a year - the biggest party of the year like the Super Bowl. Perform? Fine - Give me star power. Give me Hogan vs. Cena. Here come the haters - oooooooh!!!!!! I'm tired of them and Hogan is old can't wrestle and Cena sucks! Guess what? This is a movie. It's about how you book it. It's making 'run-ins' galore to protect Hogan, there's massive swerves taking place, there's epic promos of Hollywood Hogan and Thuganomics Cena leading up the 'Event' - this is entertainment. Wrestling isn't all about 'Armbars'...... ARMBAR!!!

^ I'm not on the "pure" wrestling bandwagon, but at this point I have no interest in seeing a match like Hulk Hogan vs John Cena happen. Imo they're at least ten years passed due, and even run-ins wouldn't be enough for me to ignore how obviously late a match like this would be, but rather it would have the opposite affect. It would come across like a very messy attempt to finally have the match happen, when it should've happened back when Hulk Hogan was still able to have a full match, like he did at WrestleMania 18. I'm sorry but a match between Hulk Hogan and John Cena is such a wasted opportunity at this point, I can't see them delivering Sports Entertainment together anymore.

Instead of Hogan vs Cena at 'Mania... You'd rather see: The North Korean Michael Jackson look a like Guy in his Thriller jacket vs. some NXT Guy or another chick match? i.e. - what you get to see every Monday and Tuesday during the week all year long........... ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/c2xjcn7h5/none.gif)

^ Don't put words in my mouth. I said i'd take a legends match depending on the circumstances behind them. I wanna see them be able to compete on a level which is fair enough, and not just have them in a match just for the sake of name value, or just to get a big match out of the way which no longer can be done without a messy outcome.

I know I'm going to regret this because we just don't seem to see eye to eye on anything. Specially things wrestling related.
I think WrestleMania has it's place for some legends to return here and there and either partake in a segment (IE Hogan, Rock, Austin) opening WrestleMania 30 I believe it was. Was a decent enough moment without any of them having to wrestle a match. The likes of Batista coming back and having a match I am fine with. What I'd rather them do is give me a match that I haven't seen before. New school vs old school type of thing. Give me Batista vs Braun Strowman. Don't give me Batista vs HHH in a random thrown together feud in which we have seen before at WrestleMania. Some of these older legends can serve a purpose. However at some point the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and so on are just flat out too damn old to wrestle a match that doesn't involve just punching each other back and forth until one tires or breaks a hip after falling down.
You see professional wrestling as a circus or a carny show. A lot of other people myself included see it more for the story telling soap opera that it is that also involves while scripted an athletic competition aspect to it. It would be like if you were to sit down and watch the Super Bowl and it's the 49ers vs the Steelers and you're wanting to see Joe Montana vs Terry Bradshaw. The thing is, it's 2019 and they can't compete or do those things anymore.
You see WrestleMania as a big party. Well I see WrestleMania as the season finale of a television show that's wrapping up storylines and a year wide build up to this finale. Throwing in random legends a month before the event is like "here is some character that hasn't been around in 5-10-15 years with only 3 episodes left." It would be cool every once in a while if that character would then be part of the storylines going into next season but they're not. They're there for 3 or 4 episodes at the end of a season just because.
I am well aware that I'm not going to change your mind. Nor will you change mine. Given the options you have given, give me the people who are in top condition and are working today over the likes of your legends. At some point, you've got to build up and create new legends. I love some past legends too but at some point it's just time to move on. If the product is no longer of interest, then tune out. A lot of it can be garbage but when it's good it's really good.
Just my two cents.
