Aquaman had a nice run. The first DCEU movie to finally crack one billion dollars. But DC fanboys wanted more. Aquaman will surpass Captain America:CWI think we've hit the point of diminished returns where its safe to say that is not going to happen. The bar was set, and Aquaman was not up to the challenge! What could have been viewed as a success must now be seen as an embarrassing defeat. It's a cryin' shame.

Are we really gonna judge movies by their box office now?

It did VERY well, honestly, especially with the DCEU track record. I thought the movie was incredibly average, but still. It was highly successful.

Are we really gonna judge movies by their box office now? DC-Fan does it all time. Why do this day, he still claims Spider-Man Homecoming a flop for some reason.

Are we really gonna judge movies by their box office now? No. It's just a milestone that was set when it was thought that Aquaman would surpass CW at the box office. Another comical unforced error by he who is Always Wrong!

Not too profitable for Marvel/Disney...they received none of the Box Office takings

Not too profitable for Marvel/Disney...they received none of the Box Office takings Yeah I think that's how it was meant to go. Sony get all the profits from a Spider-Man movie that features MCU characters and Disney/Marvel get all the profits from MCU movies which Spider-Man appears in.

Marvel does get the merchandise profits though. It's only a 5 picture deal, so will be interesting to see what happens after Endgame which is the last of the 5 films.
