I used to be a big fan of his work from Kiss Kiss Bang Bang to Iron Man to Sherlock, however. After the first Avengers it seems like he's sleep walking through the part of Tony Stark/IM. Anyone else want another Sherlock instead of crappy performances everywhere else?

Supposedly, they're still trying to get it made. I hope it happens.

Yes. His Sherlock Holmes pictures are so much fun.

OK, I voted NO, and I'll try--try!--to explain my reasoning.
I liked the first movie. I liked the sets, the costumes, the atmosphere, most of the acting (especially Jude Law's fine turn as Watson), the kinda-sorta steampunk feel, even Ritchie's whiplash direction. Oh, and the plot! That plot really is brilliant, and particularly well-clued. So I liked just about everything...
...except Downey's performance.
As much as I try, it's difficult for me to evaluate it simply as a movie performance. I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes buff, and, for better or worse, the character simply isn't Sherlock Holmes. In fact, Bill Pullman's Daryl Zero in Jake Kasden's Zero Effect is more Holmesian than Downey. SH is not a womanizer or a prizefighter, and, while he's something of a man of action and knows how to use fisticuffs (and baritsu), he relies on his brains rather than his brawn. That is the whole point of the character, and this is primarily what Downey's performance missed.
I disliked the second one. It made a mess of all the fine plot and atmosphere elements in the first and was exactly what I was expected, and pleasantly surprised not to see, when I first watched the first.
So, if Ritchie wants to do something similar to the first movie and give us a fine plot, acting, and visuals, I'll go along with it, knowing that, as regards Holmes's character, it pretty much takes only the name. (It's much more loyal to Watson's character.) If he wants to do another Holmes-as-another-generic-superhero movie, as the second more or less was, then count me out.

Can you get more mainstream? Welk I think that the question of whether he will do Iron Man 4 was done to death.

i'm not the biggest fan of the series, but RDJ and Jude Law have a very nice chemistry.
