Are they? Odd you went with WND, then. Can you should us some links to the above covering the same "story"?
That the sites featuring the "story" you're linking are hinky rag/blog/wordpress sites. It's a pretty simple point. Hard to miss how it comments on the nature of the "story".

.
I think it's partially that inability, but it's also a mixture of people just buying into what they want to hear. That the vetting is non-existent is less important to them than the site re-enforcing their views.

Stop using the prize at the bottom of your cracker jack box as a news source.

I understand the echo chamber mentality but it's been taken to Orwellian levels with Trumps campaign and election.

True, but then Trump's campaign occurred during a time when there are more fake news sites proliferating than ever before, and Trump made a direct appeal to those who we might not consider terribly savvy when it comes to vetting their sources.

A good point, but which came first the chicken or the egg? The reason for this proliferation of fake news sites was the proliferation of poorly educated, anti intellectuals of prime voting age ready to swallow their crap hook line and sinker. When intelligence and education are qualities to be feared and distrusted in a potential leader then it's obvious somebody like Trump would be the end result.

They probably should have been spying on that idiot, but unfortunately there's no evidence that the Obama administration had the foresight to do that. Now we will be a suburb of Russia within a few years. Lolwut? Is this suddenly 1985? We're back to the Evul Russians again? That would be hilarious if it was not so scary. .

A time when the Russians were supporting a dictatorial regime in a mostly Muslim state by using military force against armed rebels. How things have changed since then.

Storm in a teacup.
If people are talking about Obama and wiretapping they aren't taking about having a lying conman as President.

mobile.wnd.com/2017/04/susan-rice-tacitly-admits-lying-about-unmasking/Speaking to MSNBC on Tuesday, Barack Obama’s former national security adviser did not deny unmasking the identities of the names of Donald Trump associates collected in foreign surveillance. She implicitly acknowledged and explicitly defended unmasking (the revealing of names within the intelligence community of U.S. citizens gathered in foreign surveillance) by claiming: “It was not uncommon. It was necessary at times to make those requests.”
But speaking to PBS on March 22, Rice denied any knowledge of such unmasking after it was revealed by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif. She told PBS, “I know nothing about this,” and “I was surprised to see reports from Chairman Nunes on that count today.” So, by her own admission, Rice was not telling the truth on March 22.

In before "where does she admit lying Blade, where exactly on the video does she say and I quote" "I lied" and then cling to it like a fence post in a hurricane.

tpfkar There's nothing contradictory about the two interviews, and nothing "implicit" in noting that "unmasking" occurs as needed within appropriate areas of the government. Not knowing what some specific allegation some "source" is getting at and nobody ever "unmasking" when it's appropriate to do so are nowhere near the same thing. It's all just teapot tempesting by the Trump defenders trying to bury his ludicrous "Obama tapped my phones" garbage. They know that yet they keep bringing it up...implying I had an interest in the children. It was an insult against the parent. The guy lived with his parents and I wondered how they all fit in the house at night when they slept. I wondered if some had to sleep in the garage or elsewhere.
