On Monday at 4 AM, Catwoman was sent to the ER. By the time Catman arrived, she'd already been sent for a CAT scan, and the ER doctor called in the hepatologist and a surgeon. She was suffering from a bowel blockage, renal failure, extremely low blood pressure and respiratory distress. The hepatologist described her condition as critical and said she was too weak for dialysis or surgery, but that once her condition was stabilized, she might need both. He put her on a fluid push, and she was taken to the ICU.
They were having trouble drawing blood and keeping the IV line open, so on Monday afternoon, they put in a PICC line. She fell into a deep sleep and mumbled a lot. On Tuesday, she was barely coherent and hard to understand when she did try to speak. But her kidney function was much improved, but not enough to allow for surgery.
On Wednesday, she was so much improved that the ICU doctor said she was almost ready to be moved to a regular room. Both dialysis and surgery are off the table for the moment. Today, she finally woke up. She's still not allowed to eat, but her spirits are much better. This evening she was moved up to a regular room.
So it's been one hell of a week.

Best wishes to Catwoman and prayers sent/positive vibes sent into the universe on her behalf. What a difficult time. I'm also keeping her care providers in my thoughts for wisdom on her behalf to bring her to a full recovery.

Catwoman continues to improve and is now allowed to eat from a limited menu, though her appetite is still not quite back. Tonight she ordered a pancake and enjoyed what she ate. Her spirits are good, and she's looking forward to going back to the care facility to continue her physical therapy.
If things keep on the present track, like as not she'll be going there by the end of the week.
She really wants to get strong enough to return home so she can meet Katsura face-to-face. Given that her rehab will probably take several weeks, Katsura will also be ready to meet her.

That is such good news, Catman! It's been a really rough patch for the Cat Family of late. I hope you are taking good care of yourself, too - sometimes, when you are a caregiver, you tend to forget about yourself, but you have to stay strong for the ones who depend on you.

Today they decided to put some honey on the surgical wound on Catwoman's leg. Catman warned them it would attract bears. He was right.
