As I look through today's fixtures with a morning cup of rosy and a fag, and an eye to this evening's punts...
Just how good are Bayern? If they had a season in the EPL, how would they do?
Thoughts on the Bayern-Liverpool game tonight?

This season they have not been the best. But they have become stronger as the season progresses. For Liverpool its the other way around, I feel like they have become weaker as the season progresses. Liverpool has the advantage that it can go trough with a goal scoring draw.

Not many thoughts then...
Right, Bayern have home ground advantage, Pool have the away goals rule on their side 🤔
I'm a gonna go with Jürgen.

The first leg had them defend superbly but at home they will have to attack and will be open to Liverpool on the counter. I say Liverpool to nick it.

Usually I do insurance bets for these sorts of situations(10/11 BM to qualify) and yes we've been shit away in our 3 CL games this season but BM have to attack if they want to go through and we've got the right 3 to take advantage and God back in defense, to start attacks that we really missed from him in the first leg. No Muller and Kimmich is a bonus too, dont know how important Kimmich is but hopefully he's important and whoever comes in for him cant handle Mane.

I'll be seeing lots of fans of both teams now as my workplace is near the subway-station that also leads to the Allianz arena. Hopefully, I won't get beat up or stabbed.

Thoughts on the Bayern-Liverpool game tonight? A month ago I would have said Bayern are a more competent version of Schalke, but since Klopp's team have lost some their mojo, while Bayern seem to have found theirs: 60:40 in favour of Bayern. The only thing that worries me is the away goal rule. If they were in the EPL and had a similar access to the TV money as English clubs do, but also provided with the massive fan base like in Germany...Juggernaut. This actual team in the EPL: still a contender for the title. The 7:0 of ManCity was less about how good ManCity are, but how bad Schalke are. In the German league they are a candidate for the relegation, and the German league is by now far weaker than the English one: only 18 teams, less money, less proper competition, more team run by fanboys than by professionals: Tönnies, the president* of Schalke, is a fan of this club who happens to be a billionaire, but unlike Kraft (=> Patriots) he thinks he can run his company and the club. That's why the Bundesliga is more or less a one horse race, and only if Dortmund get their acts together, they will/can pose a threat to Bayern, at this level they can trash a team like Atletico with 4:0 or make it to the final...the rest of the league is simply non-CL material. *Actually the chairman of the supervisory board, but the English wikipedia lists him as president (and chairman).

I'm on Liverpool/Barca this evening. And I've got Brum in one of my Championship accas... sorry Zos I want you to win, I really do, but you are staring at the possibility of relegation right now, and I can't see you beating them away at St Andrews the now.

We haven't got a chance in hell, just hoping for three worse sides come May. Still think we'll just barely survive.

Bayern Munich would be among top 3 in EPL this season and outright no.1 in most seasons. But the no.3 to no.6 teams in Germany are not so good.

I can offer an answer now: Bayern suck. 4 of the last 8 from England. All 3 German clubs looked out of their depth in the last 16. Bundesliga's lost a lot of ground to Spsin and Englanf in the last 6 years. A shame really.
