you have such a cool avatar. Looks like me when I was younger, prettier, and had a sunnier disposition.

spiderwort "stick to real flowers only" Okey dokey. I got a bit carried away in my enthusiasm. Least I didn't include the "Die Rosencavalier" in my Rose list. I did however mention Inside Daisy Clover in my bunch of Daisies. (just kiddin' I know no-one remembers all the entries) BUT: Doesn't Rosemary have flowers ? <Bat stands and tries to look innocent with tongue firmly in cheek>

All good, I was mixing it up too I suppose. The film thread is intriguing, but difficult. It´s the one where you try to link actors who have won oscars to one another?

Poppy (1936)Poppy, daughter of carnival medicine salesman Professor McGargle, falls in love with the Mayor's son. Countess Maggie Tubbs DePuizzi is claimant to the Putnam estates, but McGargle and lawyer Wiffen plot to make Poppy claim the fortune. Wiffen and the Countess double-cross the Professor, but kindly Sarah Tucker notices a resemble between Poppy and the deceased Mrs. Putnam. It turns out that McGargle adopted the girl, she is the rightful heir, the purported Countess is only a showgirl, and every one has a happy ending. W.C. Fields and Rochelle Hudson

Violet and Daisy (2011)"Two teenage assassins accept what they think will be a quick-and-easy job, until an unexpected target throws them off their plan" Tagline : "Too much sugar can kill you" Have not seen it but it has an interesting mix of good and bad "user reviews" on the IMDb page.

Haven't seen them, but do any of these obscure "Daisy" films sound interesting? The Daisy (1965) Daisies (1910) Pull My Daisy (1959) Plucking the Daisy (1956) Back years ago, I used to randomly type things into IMDb and see what came up. I discovered the great directing team of Ray & Charles Eames by doing that. Haven't thought of the Eames Brothers in years. And my friend, David Amram, wrote the music for Pull My Daisy, though, sadly, I've never seen it . Actually, I've never seen any of your titles.
But you've made me think of this: Inside Daisy Clover. They were husband and wife, not brothers. (although to be fair, how does a woman make it through life with a name like "Ray"?)

Chrysanthemums for a Bunch of Swine (1968) Spaghetti western with less than 5 votes. Chrysanthemum to the Beast (2012) Set in Shanghai in 1946,it is a story about a bumbling police officer Liu Meili who goes undercover in a notorious Shanghai crime gang. He falls in love with a beautiful gang member Yoyo and only manages to draw near to his objective by a combination of blind stupidity and luck. Late Chrysanthemums (1954) Ageing ex-geisha has always saved her money and is now a grasping property investor and moneylender... Twice Round the Daffodils (1962) A sanatorium where a group of patients reside. They aspire to walk twice round the daffodils which they can do when they are better. Comedy with Juliet Mills among other familiar names. "Usually classed as an unofficial `Carry On' (it's by the same production team and features `Carry On-ers' Kenneth Williams and Joan Sims), 'Twice Around The Daffodils' has a far more serious tone and is as likely to bring a lump to your throat, as it is to raise a smile. " (this one sounds like it has potential)
