Im going to reword your quote and listen to how it sounds when you read it back
Im not twisting anything. He said whether they saw it or not. Implying, even if they did go and watch Captain Marvel legitimatley, he is STILL disappointed they are giving the movie negative reviews. Even the people who saw it. You dont find this troubling coming from a executive who is part responsible for audience rating mechanisms and is openly admitting he doesnt like the fact people are leaving thumbs down reviews... That isn't what he's implying at all. He's disappointed that people are leaving negative reviews even if they haven't seen the film. For example: "I think it's stupid if people walk into the middle of the road whether they looked both ways or not." See what I just said? I'm saying it's disappointing if sometimes people walk into the road without looking. And no, I don't find it troubling. You know why? The Black Panther audience rating. If that rating is as bogus as some have claimed, why didn't the powers that be do the same thing for Captain Marvel? If the fix is in as you suggest, these guys sure are shitty at their jobs. Captain Marvel has an average rating, which as a Marvel fan I can say is exactly what the film deserves. Instead of the 97% or whatever BP had, CM is all the way down at 62%. And you still think there's a conspiracy to get it to 62%? The only conspiracy is the one that has more people voting on CM in a week than they did for IW-- a film that made $2B-- in its entire theatrical run. Don’t bring logic into the discussion. Da hell’s wrong with you?!?

Yes but this isnt the first time this has happened. For some reason they are changing the whole system because of Captain Marvel. And what the Fandango exec said at the end is the most concerning part. The author of the article envisioned a scenario where somebody actually bought a ticket. All the fandango exec said was, The executive doesn't make any assumptions about who bought tickets through Fandango, he's only commenting on those leaving negative reviews on RT (which is also owned by Fandango). I don't really follow this stuff but I'm sure this isn't the first time it's happened. I'm just glad the site is finally doing something about trolls trying to rig the game against a film. Every film deserves a level playing field. You know they added all the positive want to see scores to the audience scores after they deleted the 50,000 plus troll votes (all 10/10s are realistic appraisals but anything negative must be a troll), right? You think that is okay??

What about all the accounts of empty theaters for a movie that's supposed to have had a huge opening weekend?
