I'm guessing a lot votes will be for Connery, though don't forget he had a huge career slump during the 70s (Zardos comes to mind)

He won an Oscar so I'd go with Connery.

OK, maybe I should make this more interesting, who had the second best career outside of Connery?

2nd, Brosnan

Sean Connery
I think Pearce Brosnan has the second best career, followed by Daniel Craig.

Roger Moore had a very successful television career prior to Bond (including Maverick and the Saint) and a ton of pretty decent action films in the 1970's and early 1980's including Gold and the Wild Geese.

Ill be referring to my personal opinion of the Bond actors in non-Bond movies and in this regard I think Brosnan is #1 with Craig being #2 overall because of the following movies from each actor...
Brosnan...
1)The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) - 9/10 2)The Matador (2005) - 8/10 3)Some Kind of Beautiful (2014-2015) - 6.5-7/10 4)Seraphim Falls (2006) - 6-6.5/10
if you want to count... The World's End (2013) (6-6.5/10) I would add that also.
Craig...
1)Road to Perdition (2002) - 10/10 2)Munich (2005) - 8-8.5/10
those are pretty much the only movies worth mentioning from any Bond actor in a non-Bond movie that I have seen.

Which Bond actor had the best movie career outside of James Bond? That is the question being asked.

... though don't forget he had a huge career slump during the 70s (Zardos comes to mind) # 1 Connery very distant #2 Brosnan Zardoz isn't a "slump" it's one crappy movie in a decade's worth of not too shabby feature films

In the 70s Connery has on his CV >
The Offence (1973) The Wind and the Lion (1975) The Man Who Would Be King (1975) The First Great Train Robbery (1978)
A lot of actors would kill to now have those on their 70s output lists!
Sure there was Zardoz and Meteor, bad films but really just bad decision making from Connery, he got a lot of things right in the decade.

It's Connery by a mile, he certainly isn't my favourite Bond actor, but his output outside of Bond is large and probably operates at about an 80% success rate.

So, I'll choose... Sean Connery.
