So Edgar Wright did Janet Van Dyne dirty and not the MCU. They had plans for her that was washed away. I wonder what the original plans for the MCU were with Hank and Janet being in The Avengers. Not Edgar Wright. Kevin Feige. 1st, Feige refused to give Edgar Wright the creative freedom to make a better movie. 2nd, MCU is supposed to be a "shared universe" so how the fuck is it Edgar Wright's fault that MCU Dictator Kevin Feige can't figure out how to share a character between movies? Sounds like a really lame "shared universe". It's more that Edgar Wright didn't want to add in the stuff that would have made it a "shared universe." It sounds like Wright wanted to make a total stand alone movie and then sat on it to make another movie. And shared universe does not mean make whatever random movie you want.

Joss version of Janet was the younger in her 20's. Edgar Wright version is the one we have now played by Michelle Pfeiffer, who was presume dead. So yeah Whedon couldn't do it because they're both set in the same universe and it wouldn't have made sense. A lot of things in MCU don't make sense. So why would Wasp being in the original Ant-Man script prevent MCU from using Wasp in the Avengers? MCU has retconned a lot of things with SMH and Captain Marvel so they could've just retconned Wasp in the Avengers as well. Because Edgar Wright Janet was presume dead before the events of The Avengers and was a lot older than the version Whedon wanted.

Heck, Captain Marvel is released 7 years after the Avengers and they say Captain Marvel takes place 17 years before the Avengers. So they could've done a similar thing with the Ant-Man movie.

You brought it up so explain. Or are you throwing out random words? And you responded,Nothing to explain when its clear and shown to us. If thats not the case do explain We are all still waiting to hear your thesis on how Darcy Lewis is the best female character in the MCU and another thesis on how RDJ and Chris Pratt are two of the worst actors of all-time and that the masses are all blind to believe they were ever good. Can you write such a thing? Have you ever written an essay in your life?

Yeah they did. Apparently Joss Whedon wanted to include her in The Avengers, but couldn't because of Edgar Wright's Ant-Man film that was in the works at the time. So MCU is supposedly a "shared universe" but they couldn't use a character in Avengers because that character was being used in another MCU movie? Sounds like a really lame "shared universe". It's called business, the director and writer they had lined up for Ant-Man at the time wanted to use The Wasp and wanted the movie to be fairly stand alone, Ant-Man was meant to be a phase one film but it ended up a phase two film.

Technically she was the first Wasp, but yeah. You can go ahead and blame Edgar Wright for that. No, can't blame Edgar Wright for that. The blame is on Kevin Feige. Actually you can and should blame Edgar Wright for that, they had faith in his vision of the movie at the time and allowed him the right to keep the character's debut in his own movie, as time went on and the MCU had more movies Wright's vision of the project no longer gelled with the overall tone, style, and narrative of the larger MCU so he had to be replaced. It's called business.

But Edgar Wright was the one who delayed his Ant-Man project, and he had Wasp in his original script, and who knows what he was originally going to do with her, so Feige and Whedon were stuck. By the time Avengers was released and was a big hit, they had to move the project along without him. The project was delayed because MCU Dictator Kevin Feige refused to give Edgar Wright the creative freedom to make a better movie. And why would Wasp being in the original Ant-Man script prevent MCU from using Wasp in the Avengers? MCU has retconned a lot of things with SMH and Captain Marvel so they could've just retconned Wasp in the Avengers as well. No, the project was delayed because of Edgar Wright who was given creative freedom and took longer than expected to crack the material with his writing partner, Ant-Man was supposed to be a phase one movie but Wright kept causing it to be extended out further in development and it got to a point where his vision of the movie could no longer be considered a perfectly acceptable companion to the larger MCU. The Wasp wasn't in The Avengers because they still did not know what to do with the character or how Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne, Hope Van Dyne, or Scott Lang would relate to SHIELD and The Avengers roster of characters.

No Edgar Wright wanted Antman and The Wasp to debut in his Antman movie, and since Avengers was made first before it started production they couldnt use them. And Wright kept making other movies first over Antman like Scott Pilgrim and The Worlds End. By the time he was gonna make one, he didnt want it to have that many MCU connections and Feige hired someone else to rewrite the script, Wright did not like that so he left. Why would Wasp being in the original Ant-Man script prevent MCU from using Wasp in the Avengers? MCU has retconned a lot of things with SMH and Captain Marvel so they could've just retconned Wasp in the Avengers as well. Because the creatives still had not decided how the Ant-Man characters would relate to SHIELD and The Avengers roster yet.

The Ant-Man script was still being developed and Wright didn't want the characters to debut in another movie first.

They could've put a character I don't care about in a film I don't care about and just said the film I don't care about takes place before another film I don't care about. So they could've done a similar thing with another film I don't care about. Why do you bother?

Well she suggested the name and Ant-Man and then rest thought it was a good name It took the Hulk all of one issue to quit the team. They've changed so much for the movies I hardly think this matters. It wouldn't have made any sense for it to be Jan at this point. I actually like the name being a nod to Carol.

I was referring to the movie - Captain Marvel. In the film, Fury takes inspiration from Carol's call sign to name his project the Avenger Initiative.
