I don' think they're going to "Disnify" the Alien franchise, Disney actually has released Rated R movies before, they just did it under a different subsidiary (typically Touchstone Pictures). Even so, I'm not sure they're too interested in making more Alien films, Convenant underperformed. The only hope for another one getting made at this point is Ridley Scott really pushing for one.

I don't trust Disney. They've done so much damage to the Star Wars franchise and now to the MCU with their recent tomfoolery BS. They have a whole lot to prove with the Fox subsidiary.

Anyone think that animation looks a lot like the 90s X men cartoon?

Anyone think that animation looks a lot like the 90s X men cartoon?Well yeah, the Alien cartoon was supposed to be on the same Fox Kids block as Xmen:TAS, but it never happened. Probably used the same studio.

The Alien franchise has been pretty worthless for years anyway. Alien 3 was the last genuinely good entry and that was all the way back in 1992. There's not an awful lot Disney can do to butcher the series any further.

But, my concern is that Disney might add unnecessary and toxic political propaganda that has now plagued the Star Wars and Marvel franchises into Fox's properties.

Haven't seen The Last Jedi yet and haven't liked a Star Wars movie since Return of the Jedi, so I don't feel qualified to comment on that franchise. But I am interested in seeing whether Disney will be able to make something worthwhile out of the Fantastic Four franchise. In particular, I'd love to see Doctor Doom tackled in the MCU.

I don' think they're going to "Disnify" the Alien franchise, Disney actually has released Rated R movies before, they just did it under a different subsidiary (typically Touchstone Pictures). They cared about making a distinction when they first bought the company in the 80s but they dropped it by 2000s. There was questionable family material in the Pirates films and they were released in the Walt Disney Pictures name.
