Frasier was in this one?! Why have I never known this before? I’ll be honest, just from watching this review, I’d like to see this one.

Ive always known Doug Walker was short attention span type of movie critic, but this just proves how easily pleased he is. Says that comapred to the mediocre X1, X2; that X3 is actually more entertaining. He calls X1 and X2 boring saying they are meh, even though X2 is one of the best stories ever put out by a comic book movie and openly prefers X3 even though its a bad movie because the action is better. Is it any wonder why this guy loves dumb action movies over ones with substance?

Youd have to be a pretty big contrarian to not praise TDK but thn I remember watching his TDKR review and he shit all over it. When I watch his re-watch reviews with his brother, I just get the idea that they would be a nightmare to sit in a cinema with either always moaning, fanboying making sarcastic comments out loud.

From what I recall he does seem to get hung up over certain action films that aspire with any sense of ambition as being pretentious and dull. Then again, the Walkers had always been nitpicky. There's plenty of stuff from their "classic" period that I still enjoy but they shat on. Just a matter of taste.

1. I can't watch the guys reviews. He's not funny at all just keeps trying to be.
2. I don't mind this movie is much as most people do. It's definitely lacking the higher quality and the movie the previous two movies (a couple of scenes aren't bad though), but it's not a bad action movie at all. It's "different" than the other two, but I agree it's entertaining.
3. I always thought it was bizarre/got a kick out of some people's reactions to these movies. They try to pretend like they are hated by everyone when in reality healthy chunk of them have good reviews. X1, X2, first class, Days of Future Past, and Logan all have good reviews. Hell, The Wolverine has decent reviews. That's most of the series.

I first noticed it in between the releases of Apocalypse and Logan.

I first noticed it in between the releases of Apocalypse and Logan. There's always been a vocal minority that was angry that they weren't exact replicas of the comics (X-Men comics fans are pretty particular), but the whole "these movies are awful" started exactly around the same time you mentioned. It suddenly became a thing to trash the movies and pretend everyone feels that way too.

I’ll be honest, I watched the review and now the “First Viewing,” and… To me it looks better than the other two, to which I was just kind of indifferent. How would you rate them?

XMEN UNITED 8/10
X3: The Last Stand 6.5/10
...It is the most outrageous of the three in terms of action and pure spectacle. And likely to end up better than Dark Phoenix.

From an action and pure spectacle stand point? I dunno about that. Dark Phoenix has pretty good action and spectacle based on the trailers and what I heard.
