"You came and you gave without taking But I sent you away, oh Mandy"
It's possible the song was meant on a simply platonic level.

Surely at 73, you're reaching that age where you're becoming asexual.

When has the last male come out as gay that you said "Wow, I never would have believed it"? Rock Hudson, maybe Probably, although the Cary Grant/Randoph Scott stories were a shock. Now, if Clint were ever to shoot his way out of the closet, that would be it for me. No more feckin' cowboys if that happened.

My Grandmother would get mad when someone said Rock Hudson was gay. I think she had a big crush on The Rock. She used to scream "Doris Day was a good girl. She would never have kissed a "Goluboi" (gayboy in Russian). It was fun to wind her up.

Those stories were manufactured for an unauthorised Grant biography. The evidence consists of... they lived together and rumour. Betsy Drake: 'I don't know, we were always too busy fucking for me to ask.'

I would be shocked if Jack Nicholson came out as gay. I would not be shocked if Aaron Rodgers came out as gay.
