Nola could be throwing a No-No in the bottom of the 5th and Kappy will lift him because of a pitch count or supposed advantage going with another arm in the pen vs. a batter on deck if 2 men are on due to walks or errors.

I was thinking about this yesterday, Rick Langford weeps right now. The "starter" thing is the dumbest thing ever, I mean just idiotic. If you can't throw at least 5 innings, don't play in the Majors. I always thought teams with good bullpens should go to a four man rotation but now teams can't even get five guys to start a whole season? What a sad state.

I was thinking about this yesterday, Rick Langford weeps right now. The "starter" thing is the dumbest thing ever, I mean just idiotic. If you can't throw at least 5 innings, don't play in the Majors. I always thought teams with good bullpens should go to a four man rotation but now teams can't even get five guys to start a whole season? What a sad state. They're more pampered than QBs in football and goalies in the NHL. Relievers are the biggest joke. Yeah - let's roll with a 6 man 'Pen' taking up roster space and these guys jobs are dependent on if they're lefty or righty and if they can pitch 1 inning or not dependent on batting matchups and if they got the proper rest the night before after pitching 1/3 of an inning.

Interesting Rick Reuschel fact, the very very next day after the Giants lost to the A's in the 89 series, it was about 830 am and I went to a Denny's in Foster city to get coffee for me and my girl at the time and I'm a Giants AND A's fan, big fan of both, always have been, but I had my A's jacket on that particular mornign and who do I run into in the Dennys but Reuschel. He looks at me and I just go "sorry, man, I'm really sorry" and he laughs.

I just pulled up a random stud who I knew completed games.
