What about Darjeeling, Zolo? Good question, AJ. I gotta' admit that I haven't tried a cup of pure Darjeeling tea (I think I've had it in some blended teas, not sure). I will look for some pure Darjeeling at the store where I get bulk tea and try some, then let you know.

Cool, Zolo. Darjeeling is often considered the queen of teas. It is the most exported tea from India. On the old IMDB boards couple of people from UK had expressed that they liked Darjeeling a lot. I hope you like it.

I hope you like it. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be interesting to do a side-by-side taste comparison of the Darjeeling and the China Black.

I like Lapsang Souchong. Tastes like tar.

I like Lapsang Souchong. Tastes like tar. I love LS too. The tea leaves are smoked over pinewood fires. I even like opening up the canister and just getting a good sniff of the tea leaves - they impart a wonderful aroma.

Aj_June: I found some pure Darjeeling tea today, in bulk, and bought a small packet. I just brewed a cup. It's very nice! It's a bit more astringent than the China Black, not as malty... it has a very slight sweet or berry flavor to it as well. So yes, it's a very nice tea. I want to use it to make Chai with (with sweetened spiced milk).
