I'd bet Superman will have a new film, recast or not, before he will. Even Aquaman 2 is still in the earliest planning stage.

Nah, Wonder Woman already replaced Superman (and Aquaman replaced Batman). A better comparison would be to say Shazam replaced Flash.
Wonder Woman is the hero inspires hope (like Superman).
Aquaman is the one who brings the attitude (who used to be Superman).
And Shazam the one who brings the humor (who used to be Flash).

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that would be great for the part. I did like Cavill as Superman. I kinda don't want them to do a reboot...and if they do, I hope it's not another origin film for him. I don't think I'd like seeing him fight Zod again.

What "receptoion"? I have never seen a DCU movie with this little hype. Even this message board is dead. Nobody seems to give a shit. Which is odd, considering it is likely to be the best DCU movie so far, based on the critics' response. Maybe this is a movie that all CBM fans are down with and hence zero negativity. Is zero negativity detrimental towards a movie's BO performace these days?  |
