Trying to keep it general here, so let's not get caught up in the denominational details.

Of those options I'd say agnostic. I don't really see agnosticism as a belief system though. If I had to sum up my general stance/worldview in one word I'd probably say "empiricism".

I was agnostic but now I am Christian One of my sons told me the closer I got to dying, the more I wanted there to be a reason for my existence. But I was looking for a reason for life. Not just mine. I decided that I wanted there to be a God.

Not just mine. I decided that I wanted there to be a God. I find this somewhat strange. In general, wanting X doesn't make one believe that X. I want £1,000,000 in my bank account, but I don't believe that there is £1,000,000 in my bank account.

Maybe it was there all along.

I don't understand how wanting there to be a God lead you to believe that there is a God. Would I have believed if I didn't want there to be one? Yes, in general, people believe things that they don't want to be the case. I don't want to die, I don't want children to starve, I don't want the rainforests to be destroyed any further. But I believe that I will die, that children are starving, and that deforestation is unlikely to be alleviated anytime soon. So I think a person could believe in God, despite not wanting there to be a God.
