#3 LSU vs #2 Michigan State 4:09 PM CBS
#5 Auburn vs #1 North Carolina 4:29 PM TBS
#4 Virginia Tech vs #1 Duke 6:39 PM CBS
#3 Houston vs #2 Kentucky 6:59 PM TBS
All times ET.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These games are all hard to pick.
LSU, SEC champ who cooled off towards the end of the regular season but have looked good in the tournament so far gets a Michigan State team who won the Big 10 and have looked awfully tough in the big games. I think Michigan State puts an end to LSU's misery, the misery of losing their coach to scandal and putting an asterisk next to their best season in decades.
I am taking Auburn in the biggest upset of the tournament so far over North Carolina. I'm hoping they're as speedy as they were against Kansas in their last game and I hope they can take their second blue blood program and make Charles Barkley happy. That would be something to see.
Virginia Tech is huge, lots of giants with plenty of athletic ability, but Duke has more of the same. I think Duke will roll.
Houston vs Kentucky will probably be the best match up of the night. I honestly don't have a clue how this will turn out. Will Kentucky get their best player back? Will he play any good? Houston has looked like a final four team all season long, I'll go with them.
What are your picks?

yeah - I mean - the SEC wasn't week this year - they had multiple games vs. Tennessee and the Kentucky's of the world and held their own
can completely see that upset.
would love to see Houston knock off Calipari - to me - I put him right up with Saban's and Belichick's epic smugness. doesn't get any better to me than watching Calipari pat himself on the back after a loss as he makes sarcastic condescending comments how the whole world is against him.
go tigers and hokies too.
upsets galore. just look at those epic powerhouses - UNC, Spartans, Kentucky, Duke
Upsets galore!

Sparty va tech Auburn Houston Every underdog 'eh? Well, Sparty might not be an underdog, I agree with that pick. I like Auburn and Houston too. VT, not so much.

I love 'Sir Charles' - but can you imagine how unbearable he'll be if the Tigers lets say make the Final 4?
Even Elite 8....

Auburn slapping UNC around like a trailer park chick who stole her old man's crack. And I had Auburn. Fuck off Purdue, by bracket would be sparkling if not for you.

Wow!! Auburn is going to do it. Would like to party with King Charles tonight.
That's Kansas and North Carolina in consecutive games.

Carolina was really playing well since the ACC Tournament. I didn't think they would be in the Final Four before the tournament started but I really thought they had put it all together. I never thought they would get thumped like this. 2nd straight dismal tournament for the Heels. Assuming Coby White heads off to the NBA, Carolina loses a lot. Cameron Johnson, Luke Maye, Kenny Williams. But Leaky Black is coming back.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

this is why I love sports folks.
it's the raw emotion.
these kids crying their eyes out on the sidelines knowing it's over.
the handshake at the end of an NHL hockey playoff game
it's Chase Utley refusing to go to the dugout and staring on blankly and dejected as the Yankees celebrate a 2009 WS
it's Rod Brind'Amour bawling his eyes out on the bench as the Red Wings sweep the Flyers in the '97 Finals.....
March Madness has some of the best raw emotions out there.......highs - lows - it's got it all.

Elite 8 spreads
Virginia -4 1/2 Purdue Gonzaga -4 Texas Tech Duke -1 1/2 Michigan State Kentucky -3 Auburn
I would definitely go with Kentucky, given that Okeke's done for the year.
